Synopsis:

The humans' truce with the Cylon rebels backfires when they hold the President hostage in an attempt to lure the final five machines out of hiding. Meanwhile, it appears that Starbuck may be confirming the Hybrid's prophecy by leading the fleet into danger.

Also I do beleive there is a mid season break after this episode.

The last episode i believed i watched was faith. Has anybody else had a similar experience with this show?

I really hope this isn't true. I don't know if I can wait a few months between episodes 10 and 11.

It looks like another example of the Writer's Strike actually extending the run of shows scheduled to conclude which were considered to be in danger of not being completed, the other key example being Scrubs, which has now been extended to an 8th season. And of course 'Caprica' would probably not have got off the ground without the lack of scripts during the strike.

However, plans to divide the final season of BSG predated the strike and it may be that they would have come to this conclusion either way.

Relevant issues concern the availability and pay of certain characters and the fact that any TV films would need to be seperated from the shows concluding arc, either being set in the past and or involving different settings, much like 'Razor.'

I would say that a concern is that they do not liberally balls up the continuity, Razor arguably did to an extent, what with the old Cylon basestar having never been reffered to etc, but can be forgiven overall, but any more on this line may start to stretch credibility.

I would say that its extremely likelytthat this will evolve into the first Cylon war miniseries idea. When they realise that its a great way to make use of the sets and cheap unkown actors, and not have to weave in any difficult retroactive continuity surrounding heavy story arcs. The guy they got to do a young Eddie Olmos in Razor was arguably strong enough to hold it together.

Oh yeh, and anything involving Lampkin would be excellent, chances are that he turned out to be such a strong character that they'll be bending over backwards to involve him, I doubt he's that overbooked either. Maybe they could do a nice tie in with the guy they've cast in 'Caprica' as Joseph Adama in some dodgy age make up flashbacks.

Overall I think its good news, if Razor is anything to go by.

Chick sleeps with Baltar here in season 4 and something just changes...

The 3 was sleeping with Baltar (and 6) and something changed in her...

The 6 (in captivity) had sex with Baltar and is passionately in love with him and leaves all behind for him...

Athena sleeps with Helo (sp?) and abandons her Cylon counterparts for him...

ANything else I'm missing?

There's gotta be some tie in. Something about sex with a human that counteracts their programming.

Ideas?

Apologise in advance for any issue of showing caps, seems minor though.

4 X 6 FAITH

More than a few people thought last week's episode was filler. Things picked up again this week, with a lot of reveals along with a few more questions. Throw in another "red shirt" death and some other surprises (that I won't mention here in case there are spoiler-phobes about), and you've got the makings of a good episode.

I will be posting the new thread soon for this weeks episode, I had a problem in my monitor packing in and only just got a new one today.

On last week's episode, Cally discovered the secret of the Galactica toasters and paid dearly for her knowledge.  In tomorrow night's installment, "Escape Velocity," we'll see the aftermath of that event, and also revisit Baltar's (James Callis) messianic cult.

In last week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica we saw what could be the beginnings of a civil war among the Cylons. With half the models in favor of allowing the raiders to be able to “think” for themselves and the other half (plus Boomer) believing the raiders need to be on a tighter leash, things got pretty tense among the cylons.
