  1. I use a firewall that blocks any intruders, including those hourly checkups by comcast to see if I'm really online or whatever it's for. I don't do anything wrong, really..honest...I just don't like peepers in my PC anymore than I like my wife and kids putting our phone number on the internet for anyone to call our house offering to send us to Disney "for a small application fee". Yeah, and don't anyone mention the "Do Not Call" list, that only works when you don't tell people your phone number when signing up for some free spyware, thereby giving permission for at least one phone call. Wow, that's off topic. I never got any letters from comcast, but I'm certain they don't give a hoot until they recieve those emails. For anyone who wants to know, if the file names don't cantain the name of the entire contents, Like "Infringing FileName: [tmd]the.italian.job.(hairyhamster).dvdrip.(2of2).avi " but used "tij" instead, there would be no "Legal" way for anyone to intercept your file or look at it, much less cause too much suspicion. Sorry Nite, wasn't trying to share tips, but common sense goes a long way, you know. Nowadays, it would be like walking through downtown telling everyone you meet "Hi, I have unpaid parking tickets!", eventually you're gonna run into a meter-maid.
  2. This is a story I got in an email from SecurityProNews Today You can find the story on their site By Clicking Here. Looks to me like the MPAA are trying to get evidence because they have no case or a weak case on this one, if they don't win this one you know folks are gonna go HOG WILD BABY!
  3. It's cool, I have a firm grip on reality, the future is gonna be much like it is today, Gene Rodenberry had a good idea, but I don't see anyone jumping on that bandwagon. The second half of that sentence , as jaded as it sounds, is how I see things.
  4. I can argue both sides of this, but look where we are... If the Star Trek ideal were in place, everything would be done for everyone's betterment, entertainment even, so sharing the files would be perfectly alright, but being in such a money driven society like ours (capitalist?) doing that is stepping on toes because money is an emotional issue.

I always miss the fun stuff, oh, well, maybe next time.
  6. About 3 times with switch backs in between, so 5 if you count getting rid of stupid ones in favor of the one I have now....pretty nice, huh?
  7. Can't believe what I see
  8. How is all this working, I haven't heard much lately about the l@wsuit lately.
  9. Nothing to add, thats the first thing that cae to mind for me.
  10. I've been busy, yes, too busy for hanging out with my buds at niteshdw.com....it's an addiction, anyone who knows me from here knows I can't stop once I start, but here I am...now. The current line of thinking in this thread seems to say positive thinking or wishing good things for the opposition will solve the problem. I can't disagree with these idea(L)s, but a friend of mine taught me that sometimes not believing in something is just as powerful, like wishful thinking without burying your head in the sand. This is a bad example here, but he used to sweat getting pulled over all thetime and eventually got pulled over every week for 4 weeks straight, couldn't stop thinking about cops.... Finally, after alot of meditation on the subject, he decided that trafic cops didn't exist to him and blocked the idea from his mind on every occassion,. So now he no longer gets pulled over, 4 years later, until the other week when he was caught doing 130 in a 75 in New Mexico...he couldn't pass up breaking in a new Dodge Magnum. That works fo me in some situations, but like I said, you can't bury your head in the sand, but expecting good from evil often brings the desired results.
  11. This was the next logical step after Kirk kissed Ohura
  12. I.ve been busy awhile, but I'm back just in timw eh? I loved Enterprise, it took a bit for me to bother with it, after all, What would Scott Bakula Offer Star Trek fans... We, it was cool, and through it all, I prefered season 3, but the conclusion of season 4 was rushed but I don't think anyone was trying to sell some other Trek Generation, I think it was an easy way out.
