  1. This is from a SNL episode from '86. It was hilarious then and even funnier now. It's even better if you're with a bunch of Trekkies the first time that they see it...
  2. Interestingly enough that the number of movies is roughly equal to the number of comics published in the last year or so. Very accurate review. Not worth the price (regardless of how you come across it)
  3. I wonder if I can find that in the US. Reminds me of Jolt.
  4. Evidently, just you. It's a common vessel name that almost everyone has heard of and evokes futuristic thoughts in many. It may just be a way of advertising. I built my own ship once and named it Excalibur because I thought that it sounded cool (at least to a 10 year old) Oddly enough, almost no one else did. I should have thought better as it, like Arthur's sword, wound up returning to the bottom of the lake. Oh well.
  5. It's probably a good thing that I believe that I can outrun you. Years ago I saw a cartoon strip that went something like this Two men are pulling on ropes. The first turns to the second and says "Hey, aren't you Spielberg! I just loved all your movies. Especially ET. Who wouldn't love a movie about small, likeable, aliens that befriend children." The strip expands and shows the two men being whipped by a large reptillian alien as they pull a large stone block. "Who knew that they would turn out to be nasty SOB's..."
  6. 28 seasons speaks for itself. Doctor Who!
  7. While I prefer travel by TARDIS (much more civilized if you ask me ;)), I conceptually understand warp drive a lot better than most of the others. (I kind of blew off hyperspace when talk of Kessel runs were measured in parsecs). One of the more interesting travel methods was in Dune, where you could fold space and physically travel short distances but still cross vast expanses.
  8. Saw Crank - If you go into the movie expecting much plot, then what color is the sky on your world? If you went expecting a lot of mindless action, you got more than your money's worth. Mindless entertainment but entertaining. Jet Li's Fearless is your typical Jet Li movie. If you like Li or martial arts, then worth a watch. Otherwise, read a book.
  9. Lost in Space crossed with Battlestar? Worth a watch.
  10. I liked Piper/Rose and probably would have watched but I agree that it would have cheapened the ending of Doomsday.
  11. Well .. What will they think of next? http://www.tv.com/story/story.html&story_id=6131?tag=gumballs;img;2 I believe that I will take the wait and see approach.
  12. In the end, what does it really matter? People are going to see a Bond movie not a cameo and it will live or die on its own.
  13. Recognition! I had thought that several episodes from both seasons were top notch in both writing and acting.
  14. Better than most of the crap on tv. I am so sick of reality shows. At least Buffy was entertaining (whether they meant to or not)
  15. The Daleks...Ooops. Not an option. How about the Feds then. I think that inventiveness and creativity will always win out.
