No, the Furlings still have yet to make an apperance in SG-1 / Atlantis.

That we know about anyway. Its possible we've seen then but not known we've seen them.

Anyway, three episodes mention or deal with the Furlings:

The Torment of Tantalus (1x10) - Team discovers meeting place for the four races - Asgard, Ancients, Furlings and yes, the Nox.

The Fifth Race (2x15) - Jack downloads Ancient knowlege, travels to find Asgard, who mention Furlings.

Paradise Lost (6x15) - Archway that Mayborne and Jack use is of apparent Furling design

the Narks...but' date=' have they shown the Furlings?[/quote']

The narks got killed by the ancients coz they squealed to the cops.

I don't see how the furlings could be of any benefit to the storyline now. We already have the "ascended" ancients. There is no tech above that, unless the furries are the same. Maybe they're the "bad" ancients, ORI.

The 4 ancient races may have *been* equals, but they don't seem very equal now:

(1) Ancients (god-like) - [AKA Alterans]

(2) Asgaards - Extremely advanced in technology.

(3) The Nox - Extremely advanced in mental powers... but don't seem very strong. They just hide.

(4) The Furlings - Extinct? That's my best guess

These races are no longer equal to one another.

equality is a matter of perspective, in this case it was a matter of mutual respect, and cooperation, not technological/advancement equality, however they were ALL pretty advanced.

for instance, the nox had a floating and cloaked city, the cloak may have been mental, but i doubt there were a bunch of nox holding the damn thing up, sure, that aint supertech in that universe, but still alot better then we have, and implies more, as it was 'nothing special'.

I agree Naikou' date=' strength cannot be measured in terms of military ability. Who knows what technology the Nox use, other than for their floating city[/quote']

While not technoligical, I would categorize their ability to resurrect each other as a strength and military asset. Hell I wouldn't even doubt if studied this ability could be applied to a form of technology much like a goa'uld healing device works

I hear what you're saying, and yes their healing/resurrection ability would have military use, but surely a technological strength is how it is actually used by a race, i.e. the Nox would in no way, shape or form harm others by any means.

I guess it depends on whether it is also viewed that their deception ability is a strength or a weakness?

Would the Nox get involved? The most they do is passive resistance.

This brings up something I hadn't thought of before. There is a message that regardless of how technologically advanced you are - you can't sit idly by.

It happened to the Tolan, it happened to the Ancients in Pegasus and it happened to an extent with the Asgard - not taking action against the Goa'uld and then Annubis coming back with superior tech.

Seeing the Furlings would be nice. I'm hoping they're slutty and hot.

To be honest, at this moment in time it's about the only thing that would save SG-1 from total stagnation.

Ever episode is just a bit too cliche and a bit too tongue-in-cheek now.

It all seems to be:

Daniel: "Oh no! Something is happening."

Mitchell: "Like that one time on P3x159 when this guy became invisible?"

Daniel: "Oh, you and your extensive knowledge of everything Mitchell!"

*canned laughter followed by canned applause*

I disagree, I was never that into SG:1, but I seriously got into Season 9. I loved it. And a bit of tongue in cheek never hurt sci-fi; look at Farscape... it can work. Methinks that SG:1 will keep going strong for a while yet - and hey, I can't be the only new viewer coming on board just now, so I reckon it must be picking up audiences here and there that it never had before. And for a show to still be picking up new fans in its NINTH season, thats pretty impressive, so yeah, theres life in the old girl yet.
