Symok
In the SG1 ep with the introduction of the human-form replicators, Carter says they can't call the X303 the Enterprise. O'Niell asks "Why?" but we never get an answer. Best thing I can come up with is that they wanted to make a Star Trek reference/joke, but didn't want it to be on-going. I don't see how it could be a copyright thing, considering the Navy has a REAL Enterprise, not to mention the shuttle and all the other past ships that have had the name. When/if we ever develop true space flight capabilities I, persoanlly, would be kinda pissed off if there ISN'T a ship called Enterprise ;)
