  1. I vote for the bank to remain in opperation. I know you are all probably bitter about me being able to transfer funds from my rich planet through the bank, but there are many times previous to that a bank transfer to consolidate cash saved me turns. All I can say for those that lost due to loans is to think it through... You don't max out your credit card simply because you can. I'd like to see sub orbital fighter attacks activated earlier in the game or from the start of the game. It would be more interesting having to decide on a strategy with that feature more prevalent early on. Any progress on making an Automated Sub Orbital Fighter Attack? Having that I think would prevent the game from ending in a stalemate later in the game.

  2. If anyone has the skills and patience to write in an action loop similar to a trade route, but for sub orbital bombardment it would be highly appreciated and useful. I know the Dominion probably could have captured my planet in sector 1432, and hence winning the game if that feature existed.

  3. i must say i have to respect the luck of the planeteers. As i see it the only way thru our blockade was a ship with a very high cloak guess you guys had more credits stored elsewhere than we believed. Stalemate?

No I did not use a cloak. As I mentioned earlier, you forgot that the IGB allows a player to consolidate all the credits of a player's planets onto a single planet. I simply "consolidated" my credits else where. Unfortunately it did cost me 1 trillion to consolidate. That has got to be the ultimate bank fee! Hence the reason why I decided to recipricate your action in sector 186. Though it looks like Lienox decided to blow his ship up instead of consolidating. Which in the end probably cost him about the same, destroying a level 30 ship.

  4. I managed to steal 27 trillion from a weakly defended dominion planet and have been living off the interest ever since! Or your can watch my money accumulate interest by scanning the planeteers homeworld in sector 1432!

I have been doing that often today, maybe you should drop by and see the good work the dominion have been doing in this sector like janQ did twice :) too bad you guys are short of credits ;) i'll lend you the bus fare. hehe

I'm glad to see you spent your time building up such a huge defence in that sector and managed to forget about planet consolidation of credits! Booya!

  5. not sure if anyone is accusing me of cheating... Just try calculating compound interest to see long it takes for $1 to double to $2. That is my big secret. I managed to steal 27 trillion from a weakly defended dominion planet and have been living off the interest ever since! Or your can watch my money accumulate interest by scanning the planeteers homeworld in sector 1432! Feel free wasting your turns trying to try and take my credits.

  6. I was lookin over a black nova traders on another site today and seen that there are 2 diff types of settings for SOFA attacks... is this game using the advanced settings that are intended to protect weaker worlds or the standard setting that doesnt? essentially the advanced setting has an extra line with (attack[comp]/defend[comp]) if it is >1 =1 routine. the basic setting doesnt use this modification.
I would guess this is using the advanced setting due to the message I have recieved "You send your fighters spiralling towards the planet as you streak by at maximum range.

Your huge ship has given them ample warning. Your fighters will be less successful.

A large explosion blossoms in the upper air of the planet. Your fighters probably didn't have time to attack." The message seems to fit the description of the code where it only appears for planets that have lower levels than my ship.

  7. maybe this game should be reset before ppl fallout lol nah obliterate' date=' abolish, annihilate, blot out, clear, eradicate, erase, exterminate, extinguish, extirpate, kill, liquidate, remove, rub out, snuff out, stamp out, uproot, wipe out, dominate, hate, mame, destroy and then write songs of the great war ;)[/quote']

If we do restart the game, I hope we can run the two games simultaneously since this war between the planeteers and dominion is far from over!

  8. Has anyone experienced credits just vanishing out of nowhere at all lately? last night I had 26 trillion in the bank' date=' and 4 trillion on a planet. I woke up and I have 16 trillion in the bank, and about 200 million on the planet. The planet wasn't attacked, and it's not set to corporate. I checked my logs, and there was nothing in them that could eplain what the hell happened. Can anyone relate to this, at all? It's just plain wierd that cash in the IGB would just walk away.[/quote']

I have a lot of cash thanks to Nite, but I have not noticed any of my credits vanishing. But I'll keep an eye out for it now that you mentioned it. On a side note, when I log back in I notice that my planets keep vanishing. Man the dominion is annoying.

  9. possible bug report. Night/Leinox for a while it appeared you are able to travel unconfronted to sector 3476 even though I placed attack fighters and mines in orbit. Is that realy the case when a sector is considered a warzone?

  10. whats happened to nite? he seems to have dropped down the rankings a lot! seems S0V is holdin the dominion together now hmmmm now if i hadnt got blown up before lol

Night dropped thanks to my liberation efforts against the dominion. Hence I disagree with the early strategy of credits not = power. Long term captured big colonist planets=power.

  11. There is another branch of BNT called AA Traders. It has a much more complicated universe (no sector numbers)' date=' and a lot of more advanced features. I forget the website for it now, but I'd be willing to host that game as well. I do think that it would have a bit more of a learning curve, but it could be a lot more interesting as well.[/quote']

I would be interested in playing the AA Traders. The learning curve shouldn't be terrible as long as there is a some decent instructions for the game.

  12. Does anyone know how the number of real space turns is calculated to travel from one sector to another? With level 14 engines it takes 2 turns to travel a smaller distance in sectors; While other times I can travel a farther distance in sectors with realspace using only 1 turn. Similarly, how is the energy gathered through real space calculated? The number of turns needed to travel in realspace is correlated to the energy gathered while through real space using a scoop.
