The Foundation series no doubt. If I have to choose one book I'd go with "Forward the Foundation", although not in the original 3, I just read it and totally loved it.

The loss of Richard Dean Anderson has killed the show. It seems to be all about Daniel Jackson now and that really annoying woman which this kind love/hate stuff has been done to death.
