Then we have stargate 80mb ? and even higher.. :( Can someone pleaseeeee tell me what version to download please cause 80mb per episode seems a litlebit low.. quosego Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 80 (unknown) is just about almost acceptable.. 127-130 (jmans xvid) (HDTV reencode) defenitaly acceptable and these encodes are excellent for archiving your seasons. (allthough if you can spare the bandwidth I would suggest the 350's) 350 (HDTV) perfect quality, there are no stargates that have a better quality source. Well im satisfied with nite's 170mb stuff but i couldnt imagine that you can watch an episode of sg-1 in 80mb,that seemd a bit low.. And the atlantis,well thats not playing here in the netherlands yet... But can someone point me to the stargate SG-1 350mb version cause i dont see them.. john1000 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Share Posted December 12, 2005 oh but im not complaining at all,im happy enough thats its even up for download....its downloading with like...25kbps. yesterday i finished with next generation and was downloading them with like 80 / 150 kbps each...so that was a nice speed all together... mateya Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 in azureus you right click a file you dl (in main window), then go to advanced/tracker/add tracker. you copy/paste this links you have (http://tracker.prq.to:80/announce: and so on..) and the client will connect to the seeds this trackers have (so more seeds and leechers). mateya Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 patience :) and maybe someone will give you some extra advise, Im out for now ;) but wait unit you get some 20-30% of the whole torrent. in the beggining peers try to ignore you if you dont have anything to trade (hence the low speed). when you will get some data, the speed will increase noticebly and then drop at the very end again (at about 98% you will need peaces that are more rare - so the speed will be slower again). edit: speed also depends on how many connections per torrent you have set in your client. options/transfer/max nuber of connections per torrent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mateya Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 just be careful - sometimes this can crash/freeze a client or the system itself. azureus works on jawa and that can overload your computer cpu. so it crashes. if that ever happens, lower the number in max connections per torrent. just so you know. I have max connections per torrent set to 70 becose I like to work while Im dl-ing and those programs I use are also cpu consuming. in my case azureus is very stable and working/dl,up on max speed my provider gives me. I had times when I had max connections per torrent set to 140 but my computer become quite slow when I was burning dvds, opening more than 2 programs..etc. and that I didnt like that.. oh, and I have a AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ 2.21GHz, 512mb of RAM, HDD Hitachi 160gb mirror Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But what i dont understand is that if i follow the guide to perfect settings for azureus it recommends the max number of connections per torrent to 151. but thats also because of my speed...
