sounds reasonable ... how about you tell me the real essentials episodeswise from each doctor and I give it a try ... I can also start the collection on the very beginning and watch the other episodes (even those that stink:D ) later on ...

I guess there loads of good sci-fi authors ... more than possible to mention ... I go for Jules Verne, not just because he was so important for the genre but because I grew up reading his wonderful novels.

As I mentioned elsewhere I'm a total newbie when it comes to the Doctor. I watched Rose while I stayed in London and I liked it. Now I discovered that there is loads and loads of history to catch up. Where should I start ... what should I really try to get my hands on?!? Thanks in advance

I have to say Christopher Eccleston ... I know this sounds a bit strange but not being British I've just discovered Doctor Who. I stayed for a couple of days in London and saw the very first new episode with Christopher Eccleston as The Doctor. Great!! I'm trying to dl some more and will maybe change my opinon ... we'll see.
