I star trek we have the warp drive as the main ftl propulsion. This warps space around the ship. Then we have hyperspace in stargate, babylon 5. In Battlestar Galactica the ftl moves( jumps) a ship from one point to another. Is that somekind of teletrasport tech?

In the old show they found earth. They will find it here too, if the show runs long enough.... Earth a colony? And evolution. Hm, that is simple. Neanderthals evolved here, modern man is part of the "colony" and arrived from space. Neanderthals die out one way or the other. Modern man lives to this day. Or the original departure point was Earth.
