Now it seems to me everyother episode of Startrek has a countdown to a lethal dose of radiation- not just one kind, but many different varieties all coined by the wonderfully creative authors(I dont know how the radiation types differ in effect)
While it's true that they avoid dying, mostly, a NEAR lethal dose of radiation is nothing to scofe at(I SEE U SCOFING! STOPATONCE).
If here in our timeframe(universe?) we were exposed in such a manner those of us choosing procreation would find a few suprises with our mutant babies, plus hair loss and who knows what else.
Am i just being silly? Should I assume that there is some sort of genetic treatment? Never any disabled ppl really.
Ofc st is just fiction but this question is nagging at me.
