  1. The Colonial Defense Forces is a chapter based, fan driven Battlestar Galactica fan club. You can join the crew of a Battlestar, become a Viper or Raptor pilot, join the Colonial Marine Corps or be a civilian aboard a civilian vessel, the choice is yours. We have some established Battlestars which you can join or if there is not one near you or in your country you can start your own! If you are the first to form a new Battlestar you will then become commander of that battlestar and choose the name for your ship. Membership is open to everyone around the world, whether a fan of TOS or TNS. The best thing is it's FREE. So come and join the CDF, make new friends and most importantly HAVE SOME FUN B) CDF Command Established CDF Fleets
  2. Heather Graham. She looked fantastic in The Spy Who Shagged Me.
  3. Got this from Wikipedia.org "The CGI visual effects of the Battlestar series are created by the effects company ZOIC. As homage to their previous work on Joss Whedon's Firefly, the Firefly-class transport ship Serenity can be briefly seen flying overhead early in the miniseries at time index 14:06. This was the primary vehicle from the science fiction show Firefly and later in the film Serenity. "
  4. Just off topic a bit, Captain Quosego where did you get your 'Dutchman' banner? It's very cool B)
  5. Well, I love SG: Atlantis but can't stand SG1. I too have no idea why. It's upposed to be this fantastic show that everyone raves about but it does nothing for me (the original movie was excellent though). Actually the reason I love Atlantis so much is because of the humour, which obviously BSG lacks (although 'Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down' was hysterical), but then it wasn't designed to be. Atlantis on the hand has much humour, a lot courtesy of Rodney McKay  ,and I find it a great offset to BSG. As an aside, DS9 was the most awesome show. Again, similiar to BSG, it had a darker feel to it, comflict amongst the characters and I loved the Defiant (I soooooooo want one, my all time fave starship). But what it had over BSG was the humour that was an integral part of the show. Actually I am now inspired to watch the whole 7 seasons right from the start. Well remedyu, we might disagree on BSG, but love your taste in Trek B)
  6. That's ridiculous. It'll never be the best period when you have TNG and DS9 around. The best! BAH. You misunderstand what I mean. I didn't mean the best show ever, but the best show on TV last year. I am assuming that they only consider first run shows, so that lets out TNG & DS9 (BTW I am a huge Trek fan and I didn't say that it was best that I'd ever seen, just the best in years. DS9 will always be my fave) The original question was "Is this a good show?" and I was just sharing that it is a critically accliamed show, whether you like it or not. It also made another list on March 1st. It made the top ten in the 2006 Readers Awards: Best TV Show. BSG was the highest rated cable show. Position Title 1 Lost 2 24 3 Arrested Development 4 Family Guy 5 Desperate Housewives 6 Scrubs 7 Veronica Mars 8 Grey's Anatomy 9 Battlestar Galactica 10 My Name is Earl

    ALIAS

I used to watch Alias all the time on the TV, one of mt fave shows. Then the DVD's came out so I bought them. My husband had only seen S2, so over the course of 3 weeks we sat down and watched all 4 boxsets!!! It was so much better getting to see them all in one hit. I think the cast are great (although I can't for the life of me understand why Jen married Ben Affleck!) and although I am really sad it got canned, I couldn't really see it going on after she had her baby.
  8. I personally think it's fantastic, best thing I've seen in years. But it's not just me. There must be a reason why the AFI named it one of the 10 most outstanding shows of last year and why TIME magazine named it the BEST show on TV. Not just the best SCi-Fi, but the best - period!!!
  9. Does anyone know what make/model the car is the guys have in the show?
  10. Channel 10 will be showing season 2 sometime in the second half of the year. This comes direct from the scheduling department :)
  11. Ronon Shepherd McKay & Ronon & Ronon & Ronon ;)
  12. It makes no sense to me either. One explanation of registry numbers I have states that "Registry Numbers are the order in which a vessel was procured, not constructed." So you could have a few completed battlestars which may get procured by the government in a different order than which they were completed so this would be reflected in the registry numbers. This explanation came from Galactica blueprints from the 1978 show, so obviously RDM can do what he wants with the numbers in TNS. Which he has because in TOS the Pegasus was BSC-067 not BSG-62 (it is definitely BSG not BSP). On a side note can anyone confirm that BSC (BattleStarCarrier) was used in TOS? I have it all on DVD but have not had the time to watch through it all to check :)
  13. It was definitely 13 eps. Well I have to say that the 4 eps that CBS didn't air were fantastic IMO. It was getting better and better and I'm even more p****d off that it got cancelled. They could have at least aired all 13 eps before making a decision to cancel it, I think they jumped the gun a little bit. Oh well at least BSG has got a 3rd season, woohoo B) :D B)
  14. I've put the link into the original post. I know, I'm an idiot!!!!!!!!
