dont want to blaspheme but i find voyager the only watchable trek largely due to the absence of the sillier aliens and the stronger basic storyline (7of 9's a pretty good reason 2 watch 2) but even then....why send the entire command structure off on every dangerous mission-what are the other 200 odd people on the ship actually doing? tho im told that after a certain point ds9 is pretty damn good.

the new century is likely to be dominated by china and india- if we in the english speaking world are gonna stay in our accustomed place on top then some kind of federation between us/uk/aust and canada will be necessary- maybe the yanks should admit the revolution was a mistake, come back under the crown and get a decent healthcare system like the rest of us . its easy- get rid of the presidency and have responsible parliamentary government instead of putting power in the hands of one man who may or may not be either a religious nut or incapable of keeping his flies zipped but is always in the pockets of big business

hear hear niteshadow, agree with every word. the prob i think is that a large segment of the public (inc me) now expect to be able to get things online while the corporations are still dragging heels trying to work out how to get the most out of us for their material on the net. surely their must be some way to release things like galactica simultaneously around the world--that would go a long way to ending piracy i think. as for the vhs/beta wars- lets not forget the inferior technology won out thru massive corporate backing

werent sharons 'parents' killed in the explosion on Troy when she was a kid?- if so how could her mum have given her the elephants just before she left for the academy?- im not 1 for finding faults in the shows i love but it does seem to be a pretty big one. hmmm ill suspend disbelief and choose to think it was her stepmum who gave her the elephants.

the mpaa might like to reflect on the fact that if the british had had the same approach to copyright in the 19th C ,the industrial revolution would not have spread beyond the UK and they would be sitting unemployed in their log cabins twiddling their thumbs. here in australia dling is the only way to get battlestar - cant even buy the second box set here yet and it wont be shown on the telly till later in the year( if at all)- when it will be very late at night and ripped to shreds to fit more crappy ads in. if bsg were available for download at a reasonable price im sure i and a lot of others would be more than happy 2 pay for it- as it is i will continue 2 dl it and wait for the blessed day the box set becomes available
