  1. I said that I prefer DT but then again he's been in the role longer. Maybe if Eccleston had gone another season things would be a lot different.
  2. I think you can't really place any of the main characters as the best actors. They all play important roles yes, and they are acted incredibly well, but they were not necessarily the most difficult roles to play. For example, Patrick Stewart playes Picard incredily well. Picard has many emotional issues that he buries away, memories and experiences and how Patrick played that, for example, showing Picard's emotions about the Borg in First Contact. But other actors had bigger struggles to face, or issues to resolve that were harder to. Bob Picardo who played the EMH, hemanaged to bring persona, humour, not to mention life to that character. However, the less main characters had the hardest jobs to do. Supporting the main characters, having their own character develop, contributing to storyline's and plots. Adnrew Robinson who played Garek is a fine example of this. The personality he created for the character was more believable that that of someone like Kira's on DS9. Armin Shimmerman who played Quark, developed wonderful relationships between his character and those of Worf and Odo in particular. Jeffery Combs has to get my vote however. Simply his diversity and his acting talent made every single character he played believable and unique. Shran was amazing, the interaction between him and Archer was fab to watch. As Weyoun, his deviousness was portrayed excellently, although at times he showed he had a humerous side, and even a human side. Creating such complexity in a character is a wonderful thing to see, and he is an outstanding actor.
  3. Rose's return is very welcome. But it goes against the storyline that lead to her departure. At the very least, they could have created a situation where she could more believably return, rather then be trapped in a parallel universe.
  4. He really suits the role well. Can't imagine anyone else as The Doctor. Then again, I thought that about Eccleston when he had the role in the first season. But Tennant is so much better :)
  5. Yeah I can remember that too. There was also a medical one developed, I may have read about it in Star Trek Magazine. Something about prostate cancer detection maybe (as well as other medical uses) Would be ace if these were all rolled into one device.
  6. I was put off Legacy by all the reported bugs in the game, of which many have still not been resolved to date. So selling it off at a lower price will not gain many more customers. I find it interesting how it came to be on 360 in the first place. That type of game doesnt really belong on console.
  7. I voted for the Enterprise E It was either that or NX-01, and I know that has shown it's colours in battle but the Enterprise E has been pretty damn damaged as in Nemesis. That tipped it for me
  8. That's true Virgin are in for a shock. They really don't realise they have created a big following for themselves. :( Looks like it's back to the DVD's again...
  9. Lol LaForge had to be the one who's ship got blown up. I can see what you say about the charactor being comedic. It's just Simon Pegg in particular I'm unsure of. Someone else in the role sure, but not him. He's already become too typecast in roles such as that of Shaun of the Dead for me to see him as anything else. And on the subject of XI, has it been delayed until 09 now? I saw a post about somwhere, either on here or another forum. Apparently Paramount have rescheduled just about every release for the next year or so.
  10. Thank you for the warm welcome :) I would like to add something that I have only just thought of. Surely the fact he is Klingon would mean Worf's career could move forward. After all, he is the only Klingon in Starfleet, and he has become their "go to guy" somwhat on occasions where they have needed his expertise. This alone means he will always be valued and has chances to move up the career ladder once again.
  11. Just my opinion, and I am new to these parts, but I'm not entirely sure that Worf's career was stunted that much in the first place. Yes he got two repremands, but he served well on DS9 having moreorless total control over the USS Defiant. Having command over Starfleet's only official battleship is no small feat. And having served as the Chief of Security of the flagship, under Captain Picard, that will always give him kudos wherever he serves. Worf was always best in a security role. Sure he can command, he has very good authority in the field. But he is good with tactics, and this is where he should stay. If his career were to advance, I'd say it should either be some teaching role of security (although I doubt he would like this). The alternative would be to have a leadership role involving tactical, such as a command role in Starfleet Security/Intelligence. It's not as hands on as he likes but as a general the higher you go up the ranks the less hands on it gets.
  12. Ooh, I didnt know :( That's really not fair, there should be something on freeview for fans Wasn't that the point of Virgin buying the rights in the first place??
  13. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but is anyone unsure of Simon Pegg playing Scotty? I know Scotty can be quite funny but I just can't see Simon Pegg playing him well, or taking him seriously after seeing him in such films as Hot Fuzz
  14. I have to agree with the above. While Vulcans cane be very good hand to hand fighters, Klingons have the edge. Vulcans may have better technology as a general but comparing ships also, the average Klingon ship has superior firepower.
