So will I be able to play games, P2P and watch movies too (avi, mpg, ogm .. ) with this OS. I'm just starting to look into linux after I reading this. There's so many linux desktop out its hard to choose but I like having the options. I don't mind paying for it too. If MS think people are going to pay for an OS that takes away control from them it sadly mistaken. But I guess that's why they formed the TCPA to back them up indeed you can do all those things with Ubuntu. I currently run a dualbooted system with a heavily modified win98SE and Ubuntu installed. Installing ubuntu and configuring a startup menu to select which OS to load is very easy, and the best part is that you dont have to pay a cent for most linux programs. For the rather few utils and so on that you do have to pay for, you can usually find them on tuxwarez (just google for it). I have encountered very few programs that run under windows, and not Linux if you use WINE (pretty much just Rhino3D).
