  1. Recently the Star Trek Experience did some major downsizing to make up for the ever growing yearly losses. They cut half the staff and the rest of the complex is working at a barebones staff. Also, the night shows, starting after 7:30 and going til close are all 2 man shows. No more full bridge crew or extra Borg and crewmen getting killed. To top it off both shows won't run all day anymore. Starting march only one show will be running per hour and the last 15 minutes of that hour the actors will change clothes and jump into the other show. To put it in perspective, in a normal summer day they run both shows 4-5 times an hour and there still is a huge line. As we get closer to the 40th anniversary convention in August at the Hilton, expect super long lines at the Experience because they won't hire enough people to serve you in a timely fashion. I told them they shouldn't hire Ferengi. :|
  2. "I know that Patrick Stewart said in an interview that Nemesis would behis last Movie so i am glad that they did it the way that they did." Actually he changed that opinion. Just heard he'd be willing to do one more Star Trek movie if Brian Singer was involved. ;) I guess he had too much fun doing X-Men.
  3. That whole dune buggy scene bugged me. It was completely against what the characters would have done in the series. I wonder how many starfleet rules they broke with that alone. Plus B4 doesn't fit because they say in the series that Lore and Data were the only ones whatever his name created, the others never came close to working properly. Data's death didn't do anything other than have him die. It was pointless to me, and the end mourning scene felt overly contrived and fakey. None of my friends or myself thought it was emotional at all. They did Tasha's death loads better. Pretty much the first bit sucked but it did start getting better with Shinzon and the ending was horrid. But the special effects were the best of any Star Trek movie. That's why I want them to make another Next Gen movie because they're not bank rolling any shows right now they can pump a big budget into this and make it real good. Sci fi is finally coming into its own because of CG and this could breeath new life into the fandom that it desperatly needs. Believe me, I know. ;)
  4. Prime examples: Moesha and Malcolm in the Middle. Now where is that damn vomit emote... ;)
  5. lol The closest I got was escorting the girl who played Rom's wife on DS9 around for a bit one day. =p New stuff... Hmmm... We're finally adding that second level to Quarks so you'll be able to look at the shops from above where Jake and Nog used to hang out on the rails. We're also just barely staying afloat, so get your trekkie asses down here quick before we have to throw everything on ebay to pay the bills. ;) There are rumors that we might be gutting the original Klingon side to make a new show, but who knows if that's really going to happen. It's still the favorite, after all.
  6. Of course DS9 was somewhat inspired by B5. B5 was originally going to BE DS9. Later, when they split they had to put together the new DS9 that we know and love/hate. I might have to give B5 another shot, though. I didn't like the continuing story because I don't have the memory needed for it, but now that I can watch them whenever I want maybe all that foreshadowing and flashbacks will make some sense. =p
  7. 1 in 5 chance you'll go insane, that's pretty good odds. ;) Shouldn't have bet the line this time...
  8. I'm in a bit of a Trek withdrawl but I never was a fan of Voyager. I was wondering if it got better in the later years after 7 of 9 came on. I stopped and finally got pissed at the series when every episode after they found her they were miraculously saved in the last seconds by something only she could have known. So yeah, after they finished making her an integral character did the show get better?
  9. The movie Free Enterprise 2 wants to film there as the finale of the movie with Shatner and Nimoy too. The first one was great, like a Clerks for Star Trek fans. And about the Experience, it's pretty fun. Well, if you ever wanted to get transported or get into a fire fight with Klingons, that is. ;) Or see how it could feel to be assimilated. Or watch Voyager fly into a Borg cube and watch Janeway assrape the Borg. Of course, I can't really say "assrape" when I'm selling the tickets. O.o Plus we have a backstage tour if you want to really know how you were transported and play on the bridge. :D Romulan Ale is beer, not blue vodka. =p It's a dark thick beer, too. Want to freak your friends out? It goes in blue, it comes out blue. ;)
