justl Posted January 16, 2006 Share Posted January 16, 2006 Hi, i can't play the last 2 episodes of jmans sg1 and sg-a, because my divx-player says i don't have xvid installed - but i have. anyway, even the new xvid codec didnt work the problem out (windows media player works fine with the episodes). anyone here who has the same problems with jmans xvid and divx-player? you can answer here or pm me justl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gamer1978 Posted January 20, 2006 Share Posted January 20, 2006 Are you talking about the divx player installed on your computer if you are updating divx will not help you you need a xvid codec. Xvid and divX are totally unrelated you can get an xvid codec from. http://www.free-codecs.com/ I would tell you which one to get but dont remember which one I use have had it installed for over 1 year. good luck. Hilander72 Posted January 20, 2006 Share Posted January 20, 2006 Sounds like DivX program is not compatible with the Xvid format you're trying to play on it. Sometimes having all kinds of codecs installed make some players go walkabout finding the correct codec...(uninstall those you don't need/use) Have you tried: ffdshow You said that WMP work fine...
