Megalith
BT's Latest campaign is to ban users who consistantly transfer more than 100GB a month. Further to reports recently of having to name heavy users BT are now banning them. Personally i think they will lose customers. btw i am with BT i will be going back to virgin at the first possible chance.

Tenebrae
Given that ALL BT accounts have a cap - the max being 40gigs. That's not really all that surprising. British Telecom - more like Bastard Telecom. We need ISPs to have a regulatory body. Hard bandwidth limits should be banned.
magestorm
They don't do that here in the US. We pay for unlimited usage, and by gum, that's what we get.
GhostShadow
can you guys get Comcast over there in the UK? Its great, and they keep your info secret for ya. And you pay for what you want. So you do get what you pay for.
TFMF
I am with BT however - i don't go anywhere near 100GB a month - in fact - i don't download much at all right now... hope i'll be ok....
Tenebrae
Forget 100gigs - anecdotal evidence suggests they're booting everyone that goes over their limits. It's quite surprising, given that they're actually one of the most expensive ISPs and most of the others don't impose such strict criteria. Personally, I'd like to see BT get it's balls busted over this.
TFMF
i don't think i go over my limit of 20 gigs a month This is funny because BT Broadband have recently reviewed their download limits - one of the things they said was that if you went over your limt - they wouldn't do anything - You'd only get busted if you went over your limit several times and by a big amount - and i doubt that's actually their policy - if you actually reach your limit they will wonder what you're up to...
