This is an interview with Steve Gordon by pitchfork, it makes interesting reading for sure. It seems that the RIAA are moving with the times a lot more than the MPAA the guy admits to several things to do with p2p that we here all know, not least that prosecuting websites will harm there public image.

That is an interesting article... I can't help but laugh at some of the stuff the guy says though.

 

Complaining profits are "only 33.6 billion" - that labels "only" get 60 cents for the sale of a 99 cent song online... (pretty sizable percentage if you ask me). That said, the guy clearly has a good idea of where the RIAA is going wrong...

 

The real issue here is surely going to be that at the end of the day, the RIAA and MPAA are going to struggle to tackle the problem in the emerging markets of China and India where piracy is already rampant... but yes, interesting article.
