Arktis
This is a REAL vs topic; truly a subject for the ages. Physics vs metaphysics: If you can't think of at least two different ways to argue one side over the other, then I pity you. Now we shall see what a true vs. topic is, and the strength of mind that each participant posseses. Round one, FIGHT!
Antipodean
Ok, lets see here, on the side of physics we have Newton, Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Shroedinger... and on the side of metaphysics we have, I dunno, people who havn't acually contributed all that much compared to them. Nostradamus? Bah, load of codswabble.
Arktis
You're kidding, right? How about Aristotle, Plato, Descarte, Sartre, Holmes, Huxley, Heidegger, and Aquinas to name a few? PLEASE. Now, at least try to make an argument. Honestly, I expected more than this.
Antipodean
Oh, you mean philosophy... Well on that count, I'd see your humanists and raise, with a Barthes and a Derrida. I guess the answer to your question then, is that niether physics or metaphysics can be reasonably privileged over the other. It's all just text and narrative. Physics just houses a more materially grounded set of narratives.
