slug
I want my hour back. It is always so god damn confusing trying to work out which way the clocks go and whether you loose an hour or gain one. I went out last night and thought that it might be possible to catch the first train home an hour earlier, at six, hence not need to pass out on some rotten sofa. Until I realised that actually the train would actually come in at eight o'clock relative time. It wasn't too bad, it turned out to be a futon. People seem to think that it only applies to Britain, but this would seem to be nonsense in that Eastern Seaboard time is always the same relative to ours. I think the idea originated to give farmers better daylight hours in winter in wartime. Same kind of general provision as weakening all the beer. I forget whether it was the first or second war.
