"Donnie Darko" has a lot to offer mature sci-fi fans, in case you thought it was a silly teeny bopper movie cuz Jake Gyllenhaal and Drew Barrymore are in it. Here's whut I liked..... 1. soundtrack featuring Echo & the Bunnymen, INXS, and Joy Division 2. mindfuck ending 3. Seth "you know how I know you're gay" Rogan as bully #2 4. jokes about the 1988 prez election 5. Patrick Swayze as motivational speaker w/ kiddie porn dungeon in his basement 6. Jena Malone before she became a weird RiotGrrrl 7. "Go suck a fuck!" 8. grandma death's philosophical treatise on time travel Please share your likes and dislikes about this movie. Megalith Posted March 5, 2007 Share Posted March 5, 2007 me too one of the best of the decade but i did get the ending right tbh not that takes away anything from this film. I've recommended this to a lot of people since i first seen it and everyone who has watched it has really enjoyed it. I do have one friend however who i had to explain the plot to as it went over his head lol. Likewise haven't watched this in a while last time i watched it was at halloween which is of course the date that the timer counts too.. not much of a spoiler that ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We had a small screening of it at college when it first came out....big buzz......it's essentially a super-hero film, just not in the normal sense....
