I wasn't even interested in physics! Maybe had something like this been around when I was in school several thousand years ago, it would have made the subject more intriguing. A university student from sweden, im guesssing, developed it for part or his thesis or masters.. something along those lines. its like a 2d real world simulation. you can change the density and friction of objects, make motors... fiddle with water in tanks and make boats.
