Yes I totally agree, the entire production team behind this is exceptional and this 2005 series will definitely end up being another "classic". What struck me when I first watched #1 Rose was the brilliant digital sound that gave the action on screen another dimension, awesome ! And Autons ! what a great way to start. They scared the hell out of me when I was a child !! I think the decision to play the confidential series in tandem with this production was a stroke of genius. Unfortunately way down under here in New Zealand our TV stations (which includes sky and BBC news) have as yet no plans to air this series ??? in fact they dont even play the older Who series ??? Oh yes and lets not forget "the master", Roger Delgado really had that certain something, I must admit I havent seen the second played by Anthony Ainley as yet. Yes I bet when this old favourite turns up again things will get very interesting, I thought he would turn up in this latest series ?.

A fantastic build up to the final, at first I thought "OH NO !" not that bleedin reality tv show garbage ! glad to say they blew that scene away almost as quick as Cpt Jack got defabricated and sensored ! (sorry mums) ~~ then got down to what the Doctors existance in the universe is ultimately all about ~~~ WAR WITH DAVROS AND HIS VILE EVIL CREATIONS ! THE DALEKS !! Terry Nations fantastic imagination still creates fear and the hatred of evil, and it doesnt matter what age the viewer is.

Terry Nation, I feel that coming up with the "DALEKS" has to get a bit of a mention.

I loved it when the Dr put Bessie in "fast mode" ! LOL I also miss from that era the "Venusian" slant on things.karate etc. I know I knocked the writing for this Dr but you just had to dig Jon Pertwee and his snazzy atire ! I read recently that he disembarked from HMS Hood during ww2 prior to its last sailing ! A very charmed and charming man indeed.

True,we all like all sorts of plots, to clarify my point - the 3rd Dr (Jon Pertwee) went through an "earthbound UNIT era" that got a bit boring especially when the closest he got to space at times was the ever present Master.( R.I.P Roger Delgado). This new series has shown some very promising signs so far backed up with fantastic audio and visual work, my fear is this may be compromised by the writers always relying on established earthbound senarios like Roses mum etc. Yes I agree that these elements add to the story but other worlds and the TARDIS visiting them is "classic Dr Who".

Classic fan myself but enjoyed some of this new series. But PLEASE -- Visiting Rose's dad , give it a rest.
