Btw nowaday 3TB is becoming too short hard drive space, but you can buy another 3TB boxed, never used, sealed new or like new HDD for around $60 on Ebay. I can afford it right now, I just have 1TB ..............
Are you having a conversation with yourself about Sabrina? 🙂

Holy crap!
dr_strekge is back.
Lets catch up in 10 Forward...

Update: More info on the release date
QuoteStar Trek: Picard
CBS’s chief creative officer David Nevins revealed the Picard spinoff series debuts late 2019 at the 46th Annual UBS Global Media and Communications Conference.
In 2019, it’s not one Star Trek, it’s two Star Treks. Discovery at the beginning of the year, and Picard will start at the end of the year.

Well, I've finally managed to track down an old copy of the forum database (As in, THE forum from before the crash).
You mean the one that you just re-integrated, you legend!
Or do you have an even older one?

[tear]
Well at least I will always have this faux acknowledgement.
I was the 100th post, at some point in the space-time continuum, even if it was just a mirror universe.
-
Wow!
That's fantastic TFMF
Well done.
...& thank you
There's certainly a lot of trawling through memories to do...
I thought I did make it to Captain level, but that's not an issue.
I remember that many years ago, I wanted to stay as a Chief (PO).
But then that longing thirst for my own command got the better of me 🙂
I'm assuming many posts didn't make it through?
-
The only idea I have right now is to: re-create a legacy forum; then copy some of the data/topics/posts over to the new forum.

I do regret not signing up for the Beta of this.
I was sure it would be released eventually,
Many people are suggesting that CBS (or Paramount) buy the VR game or buyout Stage 9,
or at least let them do it with permission. Similar to Steam and the Half-life/Black-mesa mod/game.
But, what took Stage 9 years to accomplish, pretty much already exists in ST: Bridge Crew.
[and I'm sure it will be in the planning for ST Bridge Crew 2]

Okay, so what happened is I watched literally the first scene, realized that in tone the series has nothing to do with the old Sabrina series, stopped watching it right away, and cancelled my Netflix subscription, also right away! I am not exaggerating, that is exactly what happened!
That is hilarious dBlood. I think I heard you screaming "#@$% Netflix!" from here.
Did you re-subscribe again?
I wont be getting rid of Netlix anytime soon,
they're one of the very few sources for New Sci-Fi in my part of the cosmos.

Bahaahaa,
[brain fart]
I mean Peter Davison, of course...
That is quite funny, because when I was writing that last post, I was thinking:
'Is she more like Eccelston or Davison?'
-
Is there really only one Highlander?
-
Oh, of course
It's all coming back to me now - it feels like a lifetime ago.
Yes Sov13t (and eventually everyone else) really kicked in to re-form the boards.
And support Nite.
Some went silent for a while and were re-born with new avatars 🙂
If the old guys are anything like me, we hardly ever check our personal emails.
I've had my own servers for all of this time, with many addresses, but I rarely check them.
It's all WORK & family emails these days 🙂
Fun Fact: I was originally another (shared) user[name], Pyramid
More Fun Facts: Back in the day, I was sent a Cease & Desist letter from lawyers representing the MPAA.
The reason why I can talk about this, unlike some other dark times, is because I got to shove it up their arses.
It turned out the content they were talking about was mine. I own the IP/copyright.
So there were some hilarious sides to those years.
Before I forget , another old member:
I was nearly going to say dBlood... but I suppose the rule would be, old member, not current one 🙂

UPDATE:
This is from Michael Chabon - Producer of the new ST: Picard series
Quote“We brought in Sir Patrick himself, and he has the kind of master grasp of the character,” he said. “He has been really influential in both helping us understand the character, and also pushing us and challenging us. And I think more than anything — and I don’t think it’s revealing anything for me to say this — he’s really pushing us to try to do something new and different with the character. And that’s why he wants to play it, so that he can play something that honours the character, that’s true to the character. And like I said, he’s a very fierce protector of the character, but at the same time, he wants to see Jean-Luc Picard having experiences, having adventures, and be put in situations we haven’t seen before.”

Yes, he took over the original forums - right?
Wow, I miss these guys..
How do we track him down?
Wasn't Highlander a Stargate fan too?
-
I really like the classic series references.
This is reminding me more pf the Christopher Davidson series.
I always hope that the next Doctor is crazy/funny/fun like Tom Baker.
He was my favorite.
-
The original Sabrina, was a sit-com.
This new series is far from that.
I've only watched the pilot, it has potential,,,
It seems to be leaning into a grittier/realer world.
Does it go anywhere dBLood?
Or does it just get bogged down by teenage themes like romance etc?

It is essentially summer holidays for everyone over here.
And Party Time!
Dec, Jan and Feb and then its Festival season.
It's damn hot over here in those months, with most days above 30oC.
Late Jan & Feb, have temps at 40oC and above for much of the time.
Honestly, anything in the mid 30's is a normal day.
I'm not sure how you Scott's would enjoy that 🙂

c4evap would have been my next guess too.
I will try to find some old contact details for D.
Now, back to challenge...

Done, thanks 🙂 One thing I am struggling with is the aspect ratio of the images, as it seems to zoom the image in a bit when it displays them in the header... haven't figured out how to disable it yet...
I think you need to increase the image size.
The TARDIS image shows more of the image, than the Stargate you just added.
The Stargate one seems more 'zoomed in'.
And it is half the rez of the TARDIS image.
Try to double the image size and see if that makes any difference.
If it does, you can then slice them down to banners size 🙂

Yes, IT'S ALIVE!
It's been a very busy time for me lately.
But things will settle down in a couple of weeks.
As you lot settle in for winter, I am heading into what we call the 'Silly Season'.
I am so happy that the forums are back to help restore some sanity.
And I will finally get to catch up on many series I have missed.
[or will watch again]
