I like it ONLY because it is a Trek game. The controls a horrid and all you do it battle. Bout it. Not worth the money. IMO

umm yea.... It is highly doubtful that they went back in time to 1991 and made Shatner look older and make him talk about HDTV. Digital manipulation is a given. I had assumed that everyone would know that. But, thanks for pointing it out for thoes who may not know.

I just saw it. It uses Star Trek 6 and Shatner talks about HDTV and it is cool. I love these commercials. The take a popular film and redo it with the same actors to make it about HDTV. In this one it is at the point in Star Trek 6 where the Klingon ship has arrived and Shatner is talking about how clear and good the ship looks with their new HDTV viewscreen lol. The he walks up past Spock and says one of spocks lines and enters the turbolift and as the doors are closing he says "what I can't use that line?" refering to the Spock line he took as he passes him on the bridge. lol They do a good job making it look like it is actually part of the movie. If I can find a link on the internet then I'll post.

Star Trek Encounters was supposed to be release at the time of the 40th anaversary celebration along with Star Trek Legacy and Star Trek Tactical Assult. They have all been pushed back. Dunno when they come out. Most likely before the end of October.

I am glad to see people who have been in Star Trek doing a free Trek! They truly love Trek and the fans to do this. I cannot wait to see it! And for the cannonites (I am one of them) this is nowhere near any cannon. But that does not bother me as it is a webisode. I do want TV and movies to be cannon though.

Paramount is taking TOS and redoing the effects, music and cleaning up the film to make it look better.

oh great... more DVDs I need to buy when they come out lol.. ___ ___ Ok.. Seen the episode.. Not really impressed. Yea the effects look great. But they looked fine to me in the origionals. I watched the Takei performance over and did not notice any dislike to his jokes. Also, watching an edited show is not a good reference on socio-cultural behaviour as any reaction that the camera cuts to can be spliced from any time during the show.

They do not care what they put out. As long as it makes them money. The problem with hollywood is that they try to serve to the lowest common denomintor in order to make the most money. A truly good trek movie would not make them money as only us fans would go see it and thoes not in the know will be confused by what is going on. Thats why all trek films are simple and conform to the lowest common denominator. Except Star Trek TMP which most people thinks sucks. I liked TMP. It was an smart persons answer to Star Wars. So, what can we expect in Star Trek XI? Simplicity, lotsa stuff exploding and more crapping on cannon. I so hope I am wrong.. But I doubt it...
