I love the Guide, I first read the books when I was about 9 years old, still can't get enough of them. The TV series wasn't that terrible, I still enjoyed them and I think the casting was great. I'm also looking forward to the movie even though i'm sure their gonna screw it up! I mean Mos Def as Ford Prefect? sounds crazy but it might work, It might work really well infact. I'm gonna try and keep an open mind but I'm not counting on an amzing interpretation.

Aye, it'll either be REALLY bad or REALLY awesome.

Well, bovines are obviously the best creatures on earth, so to be a 1337, l33t, leet or even elite one is obviously the best thing to be. Actually, I don't remember when I thought of it but I've had a natural fixation with cows (and l33tness for that matter) for a long time.

Data would be cool. You could activate his emotion chip during the night and then scare him when he wakes up. :D

I'd like to be able to pay for it, download it in torrent form from a very fast server and then be able to treat it like a DVD that I'd bought at a store.

It'd be way more than $1 per ep. though. Remember, a song is only 2-3 minutes long, TV shows are usually 30-60 min long. I'd say $15-20 considering that they'd want to make a huge profit out of it.

It's free to air in Australia to but it's on at 1am. Kinda inconvienient.

'sif not Archer goes insane in the last episode of Enterprise and performs horrific acts that make StarFleet just cover the whole thing up.... he could do something crazy to the Klingon systems that deforms thier fore-heads to the later ones also. I dunno, maybe i'm just going mad with power :P

VideoLAN (VLC) - Uses plugins instead of codecs, which enables it to play almost any content, including DVDs.

Best player ever, get it, it doesn't look as great as WinAMP (which is my prefered music player) but it's 20 times better for video, nice quality, no jitters, doesn't use much memory and, as NiteShdw said, it plays absolutely anything except for insanely hard-to-find wierd vidoes.

It's awesome.

Has a petition been started or are people just offering money?

Another species would be awesome, you could make it a totally awesome looking ship. I think it'd also be cool (only for a couple of seasons though) to follow an ambassador through space in a non-combat vessel, political intrigue is sweet.

SaveEnterprise is talking about buying an ad. What will that do? They get enough money to publish it and all it does is tell Enterprise fans what they already know. I think people are hesitant to donate to it because if it doesn't work, they've just lost heaps of money.

 

The best bet is to try to finance it, even though it is a bigger goal, if someone in UPN or Paramount says "ok, we'll run the show if the fans finance it" then people will be way less reluctant and will probably donate more.

 

If you could donate your money to a cause that is bound to work if it gets enough money you'll donate more, because if it doesn't work you get the money back. Whereas paying money to some people on the internet, sure you may get it back if they don't raise enough but if they do and the ad is a flop, what then?

 

Pfff, financing the show is an awesome idea, and even though i've got no income i'd gladly send some worthless Australian dollars to try and save Enterprise.

One of my subjects (I only do it once a week) is Star Trek club... it's decent but there are idiots in it :(

 

Anyways, it kinda sucks that they say there won't be any more Trek. I can't remember who suggested it, but I go along with the suggestion that we pirate as much Paramount as possible and not actually pay to see it. Yeah.
