  1. I think this was more of common sense rather than just hidden protocol buried in his head. Think about it, a member of the crew comes to you for testing. You can obviously tell they are suspicious or worried they might really be a Cylon. You run the test, and it comes up positive that they are a Cylon. You can tell them, in which case you possibly risk triggering them from being a sleeper agent, to a normal Cylon. Or you risk them going ape #### in denial/fear/shock. Both results, are almost always fatal to you since human Cylons still posses superior strength, superior speed, superior durability. Baltar would have been a wet noodle compared to Cylon-Sharon. Surely he could have said it was negative to her then gave Adama the heads up
  2. Yeah i think you mistook the re-start of season 2 as season 3 in which is not the case mate. cheers for the heads up
  3. Friday 13th 3rd season started on sci-fi i i think in the states anyone gonna share it with the rest of us? :)....please please please :D
  4. I have a feeling that Baltar is a sleeper agent cylon & just doesn´t know it & thats how he´s always in contact with his cylon friend & that is why he knew how with her help to develope the cylon detector but decided to keep boomers ID a secret.......but we shall see....... B)
  5. synexo said :- It's not your government I hate, just your people. So you know a lot of our people then ? Enough to make a judgement such as hating us ....I have family in the states,a lot of friends there as well....Been to different parts of the States about 20 times & funny I got on with most of the people I met out there. I´m glad that I never had the misfortune of meeting anyone quite so blinkered in their thoughts as it appears you are. ;)
  6. Actually this is strange, the CIA world factbook doesn't even list England as a country, but only as part of the UK. Wikipedia.org refers to England as a country or nation with 'no distinct political identity'. CIA world factbook also lists: conventional long form: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland conventional short form: United Kingdom Maybe one of you snooty brits can enlighten this half irish half french yankee born texas redneck as to what exactly england/great britain/united kingdom/failed global empire actually is? Its all about political correctness some of us dont like the way things are but appear to be refused a voice this is what it is all about :- DEVOLUTION FOR ENGLAND WHAT FORM SHOULD IT TAKE? In 1998 the UK government granted devolution to Scotland and Wales setting up the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly but no devolution at all to England. England remained the sole part of the island of Britain governed totally by Westminster, its people not recognised as a distinct nation. This gross injustice and unfairness forced the Labour government to promise in its 2002 manifesto what it is calling devolution to England in the shape of regional assemblies, which it is proceeding to establish. They are causing enormous controversy and the situation has now been reached where there are three major proposals regarding devolution in England which are being debated. They are: THE PROPOSAL OF THE CAMPAIGN FOR AN ENGLISH PARLIAMENT FOR FULL AND GENUINE DEVOLUTION? A devolved parliament with all the powers of the Scottish Parliament, maintaining the unity and the identity of England as a distinct nation with her people receiving the same advantageous and generous financial deal as Scotland and Wales receive. If Wales also had its own parliament, there would be parity between the three nations of the island of Britain, resolving the West Lothian Question. It would be for the English Parliament to decide its own location (it does not have to be in London), what form of local government it should have, be it counties, unitaries or regions, with responsibility for health, education and public transport, able to achieve a fairer national distribution of employment opportunities; and empowered to provide protection for the English environment and countryside from Whitehall-directed despoliation by an excess of road building and urban spread. An English Parliament would be full devolution for England as England, constituting the most radical, genuine and progressive decentralisation of power in the history of the UK. THE GOVERNMENT'S WHITE PAPER PROPOSAL? This is no more than yet another Whitehall re-organisation of English local government with no devolution to England at all. Mr Prescott has been bluntly honest about this, flatly rejecting for England the devolution model of the Scottish Parliament which has full executive powers independent of the UK in 75% of governance matters. He has stated: "People do not expect the equivalent of a Scottish Parliament for the English regions". The government's proposal is for assemblies responsible for English 'regions' of immense size and population, yet with a very small handful of elected representatives, the overwhelming majority of them being from the cities, in this way disenfranchising the rural counties and all the countryside areas, yet with no more responsibilities than those of present county and district councils combined, leading to the likely abolition of our ancient English counties, with all real power, as now, centralised in Whitehall. The 1998 Devolution legislation achieved its aim - the constitutional establishment of Scotland and Wales as distinct nations and made Scotland 75% independent of the rest of the UK. This White Paper however offers England no devolution within the UK of any sort. THE 'CFER' PROPOSAL? A body called the Campaign for English Regions supported by many members of the appointed and non-elected 'shadow' regional assemblies already in place wants the abolition of England territorially and as a nation, substituting nine devolved and separate EU regions. The CFER wants each of these regions to have the powers of the Scottish Parliament, quite independent of the rest, holding EU regional status, able to deal directly with Brussels, subject to Whitehall only to the extent that Scotland is but looking to EU legislation for increasing independence within the UK, hence the CFER use of such language as 'regional parliaments' and 'home rule'. The CFER plans the balkanisation of England with a UK transformed into "the nations (ie Scotland and Wales) and regions". The CFER brochure statement that: "the north east is fundamentally different from the south west and the north east is from the south east" clearly indicates the direction it wants to go. The CFER wants devolution, but not for England. The CFER may be a campaign for regions but it is not a campaign for England. The CFER campaigns expressly for the termination of England. As for failed Global Empire we did what you are now trying to do before the PILGRIM fathers even set sail for the Americas from...ENGLAND !!!!!

  8. Wow what an intelligent post from Lieutenant synexo
  9. here, here, I totally agree......ps I dont think I would have watched it had it been produced by Stalin as I hate shows with subtitles
  10. I dont think anywhere in my post did I mention being a better fan than anyone else ,nor do I feel that in any part of it did I give or try to give the impression that Rick Berman was my god & as for the statement on Hitler or Stalin although completely away from any part of the subject in question I most probably would have supported them at the time along with the countless millions in those countrys who also did at that time & just as millions of short sighted fools have just done by putting Bush back in office for another term but surely this is not a political forum but a forum for supporters of Star Trek ....not slaters surely some Star Trek is better than no Star Trek or are you telling me that you havent bothered to watch or download any of the Enterprise series because you think it is so bad...... Although I feel that most of your post here was completely off key & missed the points I was making totally I was glad to see we agreed on 1 point :- I don't think Paramount or Berman/Braga care about what the fans think.[/ ;)
  11. I´ve just read a few of the other torrents & cant help but think that some Trekkies & Trek fans on this site are a bit closed minded People saying how there was no continuity in Enterprise, how Star Trek has been going down hill over the years, weapons too advanced for time lines & so on we can all find fault but lets be honest here When I was 7, I first saw Star Trek the original series over 30 years ago, I thought it was great I was Hooked (but looking back the acting was shit & so were the sets) but I was Hooked all the same Next came the Next Generation (still a die hard fan of the original series at this time) I refused to watch it until midway through the second season when I finally gave in watched it through to the end loved it & still think its the best out of all of them Next DS9 by this time I was so positive about the fact that a new type of Startrek was to grace our screens it wouldn´t have mattered if they had gone back to using 60,s sets & effects. Likewise with Voyager Which brings us to Enterprise not perfect by any means but Star Trek all the same ,why do so many of the so called fans feel it neccessary to hammer the nails into the coffin of a concept that we have all come to love in one form or another. At the end of the day when you buy a record by your favourite band you may not like all the tracks on it but you dont just stop liking the band just because of a couple of lousy tracks or even albums,When you played the original atari games (black & white squares on a screen) you thought it was great but would you give up your PS 2 or Xbox to go back to it ?....Didn´t think so...technology a great thing ...making things now look better than then. The point I´m making is we´re talking about Star Trek in whatever form it takes" SUPPORT IT DONT SLATE IT " Its our comments that persuade big bucks company´s that its time to put things to rest dont give them an excuse not to continue with a concept that all of us have come to love in one form or another................................ Your comments please..................
  12. Reading some of these posts is amusing to say the least its easy to find faults in the series, easy to tear down episodes, timelines, continuity & so on but at the end of the day it´s just entertainment I enjoyed it, watched every episode due in large to this site but at the end of the day it was star trek a concept most of us have enjoyed watching ,participating in & talking about please dont help paramount justify cutting it by ripping it to pieces.......At the end of the day a star trek series has been cut by a big bucks company that has made a fortune out of the fans of the franchise over the years & who quite obviously dont give a toss as to what those die hard fans want .I for one think that paramount should be ashamed of themselves for the way they have behaved but I also believe that feeling ashamed is a concept that big bucks companys such as paramount will never grasp.
  13. Surely none of this news has come as a shock the rumours surrounding the cancellation of enterprise have been around for ages. The problem has always been with the time it was being aired....Friday night....who the hell stays in on a Friday night of course the view ratings were low & this of course is what the sponsors look at they want people to view their ads so it wont matter what they put on in enterprise´s place thats sure to get moved or axed as well due to low viewer ratings.....surely it might have been a more sensible idea to move the day it was aired & then see if the viewing increased just go´s to prove they dont give a shit about fans just dollars I for one think that all Trek fans should boycott paramount products lets see what a few million drops in sales would do ????
  14. Gotta be Jadzia especially in rejoined
