  1. A proper ending...yes..and oh what an ending :) Each of the four seasons consisted of 13 episodes btw. So 52 eps in total.
  2. I would definitly be a tarantula : Gentle but mostly hated and fragile and agorophobic.
  3. well next to mccoy, troughton is my second favourite doctor..funny how all my favourites seem to not have much material lol, so here goes : The Power of the Daleks The Moonbase (remaining 2) The Faceless Ones The Evil of the Daleks The Abominable Snowmen The Enemy of the World The Web of Fear Fury from the Deep The Space Pirates
  4. Yeah, copies of stuff like that was sold to countries the BBC dont have deals or contact with for whatever reasons, so stuff could exist but its just getting to it.
  5. Yeah, im with you on that...it gives me hope more stuff will be found too now its proven some rumours like this one ARE actually true. And yeah fury from the deep, web of fear, abominable snowman, evil and power ect id LOVE to see again, lets hope they are out there eh ? :)
  6. Thats great news :) now if only we had more patrick troughton who eps...
  7. @Tenebrae, perhaps you might dig my stuff, and you are right 99% people wont be interested..but oh well.
  8. There *are* characters, there is just nothing about them on the website as of yet, just very basic information. If you think humans have to be the focal point of a show then it sounds like a lack of imagination to me. Aliens can be written as likeable and interesting characters with depth, allthough given it takes alot of effort and skill and is a rarely done right, but it can be done and I take alot of time with my writing...years even and iv had over a decade to get my ideas right. One of my main annoyances with aliens portrayed in shows is that they are usually so 1-dimensional, your star trek examples are exactly the kind of thing that bugs me too. A good example, allthough not "aliens", but "creatures" anyhow done right I would have to say the lead characters in The Dark Crystal are positive proof humans are not allways needed. Also my sci-fi is made from ideas I get from dreams iv had for the past 20 years or so, no angst there..just my vision or explanation of the nature of reality/the univserse ect. I'll be putting the first story online, so perhaps judge it when you've seen it eh ?
  9. Very sad, a much talented actor. G'kar was my second favourite character on B5 too, he was brilliant and very memorable and likeable..One of the many reasons the show rocked so hard.
  10. Sylvester Mccoy and Patrick Troughton.
  11. Ack, I tend to hate remakes most of the time. I'm on episode 2 of the mini-series so far and really enjoying it though.
  12. heh, ill agree with you that he isnt a very good script editor, but I think he writes some really good stories though. My favourite script editor is cartmel personally.
  13. I never really download movies. Most of what I download is TV shows which I cannot see any other way, and if I like the TV show I will usually buy that on DVD anyway, so I guess if I ever get busted I can just say it was downloaded as a backup for the DVD which I think is legal ? Also the most I download a month on average is a few gigs.
  14. Apparently he is doing rap-metal (nu metal) now. Btw, like your signiture images Mav :)
  15. I'm not sure if he is in a coma or not. It is the most likely and predictable resolution to the story, but im hoping there will be more to it than that. Also, does anyone know if this is 6 or 8 episodes long ? I have heard conflicting information and unsure.
  16. @AmnotBorg, im currently watching the V mini series, why did the future stuff get worse ? should I just watch the mini series and keep to that ? And I have to agree, I think the last season or 2 of Sliders wasnt very good at all.
  17. Chiggy, I totally agree with you on the Outer Limits, for me personally it is everything good science fiction should be! and a great example of good writing. My favourite was the one with the scientist that develops nanobots, and his friend steals them to cure his cancer but undergoes various mutations as they nanobots go out of control.
  18. I see your points Pella, I dont really like characters like Cannibal or the Terminator really, I dont find them very interesting. I never really found "slasher" stars like Jason or Freddy to be that interesting either. For good guys, I think "The Outer Limits" did it extremely well as they obviously had weaknesses and didnt allways come out on top, sometimes even sacrificing their own lives for what they felt was right, knowing nobody will ever know of what they did. And IMO that is a much better idea of a "hero" than Captain Kirk or any marvel super heros, and more in tune with what I would prefer to see on screen. Oh and Wile Cayote is exactly why I find "the bad guys" more interesting and makes better entertainment, we love watching him plot and scheme then and its hillarious especially his facial reactions right ? afterall there is a reason why things like The Daleks are popular, I actually find them more interesting than The Doctor too. I dont really see them to be admired but I think bad guys being the stars make for more interesting entertainment personally. I think this is where we can compromise. I liked how shows like Blakes7 killed off people once in a while, even the main star. This makes it more unpredictable and makes for more emotional impact and storytelling in my eyes. I have no problem with the good guys winning, but they shouldnt win EVERY time, it is kind of lame when you see the hero of the day coming out of a ridiculous situation untouched too.
  19. Why, are you looking for more friends ? And to answer your questions, no and no.
  20. 'You've got your sci-fi in that aliens invade Earth during World War II and the good guys don't always win' World war II..awesome. Good guys not allways winning...awesome. Sounds cool! :) 'But of course no US network would do it since the US basically gets its butt handed to it throughout 3/4 of the series (and, of course, we Americans can't wrap our minds around that!)' Yup, The whole "hero aesthetic" again *cringe*. Allthough its not just American centered. My shows would never get shown on TV for the same reason because the 'heros' are the bad guys and they win ;).
