ST imho needs to stay quiet for few years till all of the fans have seen it from top to bottom and the people who hated NEMESIS has learned to tolerate its existance... THEN... launch a new series... 100 years into the the future of TNG. Kinda like what Roddenberry did after TOS... forward 100 years We can see the NEW Enterprise crew... in a more bold n epic story... n by bold I DO NOT mean more treknobabble to solve problems... and by EPIC I DO NOT mean that the ludicrous fillers now take 3 episodes to resolve them. BUT You know... more space exploration... more adventure... where is the sense of AWE that TOS n TNG had. and yeah... some serious villain or villains like we had on B-5 or FARSCAPE so that there's a main plot that moves forward. Sighhh... I'm just ranting.

Wow... some people here have tremendous amount of time to waste over things that have no point whatsoever. I mean yeah... I get trying to find out about a back story or a character. BUT A WORD !!!??? You guys humiliate the other trekkies.

True... but it would be interesting to have that crossover since SERENITY doesn't have any aliens either. The Firefly timeline could be the corresponding timeline with BSG when they finally reach Earthspace. Heck... it could even be SERENITY that makes contact with thm.

My belief is they are trying to change the style of the show from the SG-1 going out n finding one particular thing to solve a problem to a more STAR WARS style all out war. Brad Wright did say that we were going to see more fleet action in season 10 and that because from season 9 the show was going to go another more epic path... he wanted to change the name to SGC [stargate Command] than SG-1 BUT Like WB... the MGM guys prefer to mess up creativity. Besides... he has promised a lot of epic battles in season 10. n FINALLY we'll get to see how GOOD the Daedulus class ships are. There's a specific episode where The Odessey is stranded n it has to defend against 3 Lucian Alliance ships. Regarding DANIEL... n Mitchel... n the ships !? Korolev got destroyed... 'cause well... u can't have 2 US starships getting blow within half a season. Mitchel is outside in a F-302 Daniel along with the fat Russian Capt. is onboard 1 of the Ori ships... as prisoners for questioning. BTW... regarding tactics. You guys DID hear them saying their subspace engines and hyperdrives were down. PLUS... the fight lasted for about 5 minutes. They tried to defend... didn't work... they tried to escape... couldn't... so they could their butts kicked. Lastly, what makes you think that the battle is over !? They could continue on in the next episode. After all SG has never pulled a DS-9 battle where you see the entire fleet assemble in the season finale and in the next season premierre... its 3 months later n they got their collective butts handed to them. About the Grail... I don't think they r going to find it anytime soon... hell maybe its the GRAIL that would connect to the 3rd series they r talking about.

Again... I agree with Tenebrae. I was really impressed with the Wraith one 1st half of Season and the finale [The Siege] But now... they really do look silly. I understand wht Cpt. MAV said tht the writers are walking a fine line but another prob is appearance. Example... the Go'uld were never taken seriously... until SOKAR n ANUBIS made their appearance. With the Wraith the prob is... people meaning the SGA team are not scared of them ENOUGH... and they kill Wraiths in too great number. They need to show them be scared sh|tless of the wraith. Like in ST: TNG whnever u heard the mention of the BORG the audience would go OH CRAP n TNG crew would crap their pants. in VOY after Scorpion... it became like... BORGS... so wht... we'll go heist their CUBE. Same with SGA... now they can capture Wraiths... experiement on them and even have the courage to crack bad jokes. Stop those and their need to talk to their food... it'll get better. I mean for god's sake... we don't go talk to the cow or chicken before we are about to eat thm.

Personally... I'd like to see the Wraith coming to our galaxy and meeting the ORI... who gets pissed off at the Wraith for not worshipping them. While The Replicators finally get their forces together and lauch a 2nd assault. Btw... you guys DO know that there r 2 types of replicators. The 1 built by the Ancients... n the standard ones.

Riiight... That's why ST got cancelled... BUT Hey maybe my taste sucks for not liking cliche` filled plots of ST where the ship falls into some pointless problem that has no effect in the long run whtsoever and use technobabble to solve it. Yeah... my fault. I'm sorry that I prefer more 'mind boggling' substance in a series thn 'mind numbing' ones. My apologies... you got me. Regarding DS-9... its a copy of B-5. 'Nuff said.

One thing I don't like or get in SG is... why do they introduce some nice and cool characters thn just take them away without developing on thm. Like SOKAR got killed within a season... [The gould who represented the DEVIL] JONAS QUINN... he left and never came back. n My personal FAV The YOUNG Jack O Neil... the clone created by LOKI on Season 5 or 6... don't remember... but its been like few years now... they could really spin a cool story around him. BUT NOOO Anyone else have any other rantings like these !?

AWWW c'mon... I loved the 100th episode... it was funny as hell. I'm sure this one will be too.

I have to agree with TENEBRAE there. I consider myself a SG fanboy... and I would like nothing more than to see it reach super stardom like Star Trek... or more. BUT I'd prefer quality over quantity anyday... because one thing I DONT want is... for SG to spew out crap like ST did with VOYAGER n DS-9.... ENT in my opinion was very good though. IN SG-1... another problem I think they have is... they try to maintain the status quo while trying to add to the series. They should either just stay status quo... or go on all out. That way when the series DOES finish [which it will one way or the other] It'll finish with a bang. If they keep this up... then series will just slowly die with lousy finale like ANDROMEDA or SG-1 Season 8... [Gawd tht finale sucked after the season 7 Antarctic fight]

I'll be honest... I think the prob with SG-1 season 9 is.. 1) As most people put it.... it shouldn't have been SG-1... SG-1 should've ended on Season 8 [btw Brad Wright himself said he didn't want a SG-1 season 9... he wanted a new series n call it SGC] 2) I think 8 year and 1 villain race is enough for the 'GOD COMPLEX'... I'm sure they intriduced the ORI to resolve the Ancient story and all but they could've done it by intriducing the furlongs or in SGA... need not be in SG-1 3) They should seriously introduce a very different villain.... like the BORGS in Star Tre... Daleks in Dr. Who and The Shadows in BABYLON 5. BUT I gotta admit that I like SG... n I did enjoy season 9... not as much as season 7 [The antarctic fight was still the best finale imo] Well... let's see how it goes... n oh yeah... They've practically dired up the well for 'good filler episodes' now its just the crap left.
