my name is nothing special. on another forum i wanted to sign up as ashley but that was already taken. my name is ashley fox so i decided to put ashfox. i use it for everything now.

there's your problem, bro. you need to go to start->run->dxdiag go to the sound tab and set the hardware acceleration to basic. your comp sounds very similar to mine. same problem. nvidia chipsets are not entireley compatible with the realtek ac 97 codecs. i have the same problem with San Andreas and Sim City 4. i have run dxdiag and it says on all the tabs at the bottom that everything is fine but i will set the acceleration to basic and see what happens. Did you even try that, bud? I am quite positive that's the problem. Yes i tried it. I have changed my sound acceleration to basic but the problem still occurs.

It'd be pretty hard to blame THAT on your processor. Are you particularly interested in actually narrowing it down to see what the problem is? what do you mean im i interested in narrowing it down to see what the problem is. of course i am, thats why im posting here to see what other people think it might be and if they have any ideas then ill try them out!! ive also tested and checked the temperature of my hardware using several programs and everything checks out ok.

i cant really pick a single episode that is my favourite but i have to agree that i like episodes involving paranoia.

i've seen all the episode of voyager and i think they are referring to the alliance that voyager had to make with the borg so that they could safely pass through their territory. (correct me if im wrong).

I agree. especially with bridge commander because its a great game and even if you get bored with the original, there are so many mods and upgrades out there on the web so you will never get bored!

yes its just X3 that i have noticed problems with (so far). x3 has got to be the most graphically demanding game i've got.

Lets say that it is my graphics card that is broken. if this is the case then what type of replacement graphics card do you recommend that is compatible with my computer (see specs at the top) and that is good at handling games that are very graphically demanding?

i would have to be a changeling because it would be so cool to change shape and be whatever you wanted!! it would also be cool to have a whole dominion armada at your desposal! plus the Jem'H'Dar
