  1. My d/l are mostly of those tv progs (esp Startrek) that I have seen when shown on TV and would like to see again. However as a Pensioner (US Senior Citizen) on a limited income I cannot afford the excessive prices charged for the DVD releases of those same shows. With this profiteering its no wonder 'Enterprise' was cut short. Besides all the above few if any of the Movies I saw in cinemas are ever released again and once again the DVD version if still available are excessively priced. Thanks for reading this maybe even the 'Official bodies' will take notice. what do they say ' in your dreams'!!!
  2. Generally agree Odo could have had any face he wished. And wished is the operative word. As in many eps Founders either actually copy a given Starfleet Officer or even a Klingon or are referred to as doing so. Else what was the blood testing all about?
  3. Replying to Crewman Netshark TNG is definitely worth the watching as is DS9 As the saying goes don't knock it until you've tried it. and I don't mean random eps
  4. To those who voted no. How can you say that? Is not the Forum idea a means of perpetuating Trivia TRIVIA I love it!
  5. It seemed to me that on the whole up to about 3/4 of S7 things were plausible. Sometimes only just! (That is allow telepathic commumication by the prophets) BUT the ending was not science fiction or future prediction as Gene envisaged it. It was unadulterated FANTASY. My personal opinion is that GR would have blocked it in favour of a more consistent and believable ending.
  6. Well they had to something to avert attention away from a sub standard story-line. I tend to f/f those scenes to get back to the story even it's poor. If I wanted titilation I would not be watching Star Trek.
  7. NO NO NO the best was Data (fully functional) think about it an android need never stop! Get a psychic link to Tasha Yah and ask her.

Follow up to petty officer proffart Arsenal gag with which I concur. How do you confuse a Manchester United Fan? show him a map of Manchester!!!! subtle uh?
  9. In light of the above rules I as a Jew find the image used by by capt wahaha offensive in the extreme, even though it is a poor attempt at humour. Thanks for changing it. Nice to know replies are read.
  10. Captain Wahaha 's animated picture is an insult to all who gave their lives in WWII. or is he as mad as the one depicted.
  11. Now there's originality black leather = villain ! Now let's try another tack how about Odo or other shapeshifter being in charge of time police a recognised division of Star Fleet. This must surely give a wide enough scope for all types of storylines if set post 27th century as its base time.

If we hold our liberties so dear our focus should be endorsement of anti-terrorist legislation and action. The terrorists are the ones who are truly curtailing our liberty. Mrdad then quoted Ben Franklin said:They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Hey this is a forum for our views is it not? Not the trite repeating of some one from a bygone age who could probably never conceive of terrorism let alone the destruction of the World Trade Centre the Lockerbie Airplane Bombing So I assume he wants to travel on my plane next to the fanatic with a gun or a bomb to ensure that mans 'rights' to civil liberty and to bear arms C**p grow up and live in todays world that is if the terrorist will let you live.

Sorry but this is "Just a load of Bull". A young bull and an old bull were strolling along chatting when the young bull spied a herd of cows through a gap in the hedgerow and at the the other end of the field. "Hey lets run over to them and make mad passionate love to a few of them" he said. The old bull slowly turned his head and said in an exasperated voice "will you never learn the law of conservation of energy?" "what do you mean?" the young bull asked. "Why we'll walk over to them and do the lot!" came the reply.

  15. I think a new movie should be realistically set somewhere between 26th - 30th centuries so as not to be overladen with continuity (timeline) problems. If it does go well at box office etc. then yes it's a pilot for a new series, but don't all good trekkies want just that. Or are we to wallow in whats been done and not boldly go foreward. 'Porro non retra' say I (It's Latin and my family motto and boy does it fit well).
