I seem to remember a paragraph in Mien Kampf where the author promoted the idea that adoption was better than passing on defective genes, I never thought I would agree with Hitler, but there is a couple who live close to me who are genetically incompatable, they have so far had six children, none of whom have lived past 5 due to heart defects which where totally predictable! These childrens short lives have been dominated by surgery and hospital stays. where the hell do this couple get off producing flawed children to a short life of suffering just so they can persue the dream of having a "child of their own" This is regardless of the cost to th public purse, National Health Service, This is one case where I think charges of child cruelty should be brought against people, why the hell cant they just adopt, or get quietly knocked up by the lodger! Anyway thats my personal rant over, back to star trek, if humans had effficient methods of genetic manipulation, we would use it, because thats the type of people we are

pretty good timing, at least they'll be able to get a take away, by 2018 there'll be takeaways all over the moon

maybe I'm being niave, but I thought the original post was an innocent inquiry as to wether or not she had had breast enhancement surgery, that just sounds like general curiosity to me. not having seen any recent topless shots I cant comment but having seen recent clothed shots of her, I suspect she has, somewhat sad that such a beautiful women should feel she has to personally I object to all the tattoos more than wether or not shes using silicon

I especially like the second picture you get if you leave the mouse over the original portrait picture, I suspect a Borisp moment ;) edit... actually, having read the global warming diatribe I think its time for physician heal thyself! I'm personally unconvinced on the global warming issue (living on the top of a bloody big hill also helps B))) the phrase climartic optimum springs to mind, plus of course we are still in the tail end of the last ice age. I dont deny that our pollutants aren't helping but I think our part in globak warming is over emphasised

well my connection is getting upgraded this month from 1mb/128 to 4/384 ok the upload still sucks but its a hell of a lot better than it was, so hopefully I can pull my weight around here a bit more  with that really lopsided upload/download my share ratio is still gonna blow but at least I will finally be able to put a bit more out And yeah I know some of you have really fantastic transfer rates that make this look pitiful, but I hope you appreciate that where I live this is a pretty damned good piece of news :D

well as the lords of kobol seem like the old greek gods I would guess good old hercules has been slipstreaming them back and forth ;) Good point though, I'm am ashamed to admit that particularly glaring plot hole slipped past me (or maybe the lords of Kobol left them a few stargates :cyclops:) -
This entire mid season break business is causing me to think, from a British perspective. its time for a replay of 1776! just to stop the stupid networks doing this!! I want the next episode NOW

I like them both for different reasons, they are so dissimilar as to be hardly the same story its a bit like comparimg Mel Gibsons "The Passion" with "The last Temptation of Christ", both technically story's based on part of the same crucifiction story but with totatally different takes

Omg good point, I'll confess he never even occured to me, strange how an iconic set of films means absolutely nothing to me when we are discussing quality I thin it maybe because lie EE Smith , Stars wars was basically a western in space? lol the ey between j and l in the alphabet just resigned

Looked at logically the Pope's concept is correct! (though niavely simplistic) no premarital sex, fidelity in marriage, no sex without marriage hetero or homosexual, AIDS dies out in the Human race! Its TRUE! however it would need a world population of SAINTS and most of us are all too human -
Loved the episode The doctors total ruthlessness is appropriate for a time traveller - the logic of humans have colonies so destroying life on earth is an acceptable cost to eliminate daleks was correct but definately falls under the heading of taking the long view! As for one of the bad wolf references being Verbal, it came from a precognitive and I would assume all the other clues, graphiti etc was spread by precognitives

just a small point on the UN resolution post previously. dont you find it amusing that Micronesia abstained, LOL, yeah right and they have such a massive space programme? plus of the 160 odd who voted against it, isn't that a bit like we cant do it so no one else should? lets be honest the UN is a joke with most banana republics votes up for auction to the highest bidder Can anyone remind me of the Hienlein short story that had an idependent space guard ready to nuke anyone who worked themselves?
