  1. Looks like RDA will be back for more than just this one episode "Anderson will appear first in the episode titled "200," which not coincidentally will air at the show's 200th episode, this summer. "200" will allow the cast and crew to break outside the mold of the traditional Stargate episode while revisiting a comical storyline from the past -- precisely 100 episodes ago, in fact. The show's former leading man will also guest star on Stargate Atlantis in Season Three, and will appear in additional episodes of SG-1's tenth year. Anderson told his official Web site that he will appear in a total of five episodes this year. He was asked to appear in the 200th episode, and during negotiations offered to do a few more if the writers wanted to use his character to tie up any loose ends." From Gate world "http://www.gateworld.net/news/2006/03/richarddeanandersonreturns.shtml"
  2. I got the following info. from Gateworld.net, interseting stuff! What better time to introduce a Furling than in the show's 200th episode? "Don't laugh. We've seriously discussed the possiblity." "Brad [Wright] has been working on the third episode of SG-1 as well as that wild (some will no doubt say 'crazy') idea for the 200th episode, getting on it early as it will take some time to prepare for." "The next couple of weeks will no doubt be spent reading and commenting on scripts, revising, and hopefully breaking some more stories. I'd love to get cracking on the big SG-1 mid-season quest two-parter or the time travel, What If?, story we briefly discussed (hopefully, no producer's head will explode this time, unlike the time we broke 'Moebius' I and II). And, of course, there's the big 200th episode that will offer up a little something for everyone. It'll be an episode unlike any we've ever produced, both in terms of format and content." "We started to break the 200th episode today and discussed the possibility of a special guest star. Fingers crossed." (Executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, in posts at his blog) So, maybe the Furlings and O'Neill
  3. Speaking as one who has had some experience of it. Modern warfare is NOT necessary. The power of politics and financial pressures is far greater. War is started by politicians, who in the vast majority have never seen it first hand. There is no glory in war.............just death No winners...............................everyone looses in some way, some, the unfortunate never get to see their families again. War makes you stronger, never........even if you survive conflict, it still kills you little by little.

    Who is hottest?

Hmm, that Brandy sure has a little something extra, but it's still Carter for me, or .....
  5. Just a thought on the original theme of this thread, size of encodes: I have supplied recently, and intend to continue 80mb and 350mb encodes (I do them for myself, so why not let others enjoy if they wish). The 80mb encodes are 320 pixels wide, and are of excellent quality, they are however only meant to be viewed on a PDA or similar. The 350's I use for TV or PC viewing.
  6. Good question, but 'cause we didn't see them do it, doesn't necessarity mean it didn't happen does it??
  7. I hear what you're saying, and yes their healing/resurrection ability would have military use, but surely a technological strength is how it is actually used by a race, i.e. the Nox would in no way, shape or form harm others by any means. I guess it depends on whether it is also viewed that their deception ability is a strength or a weakness?
  8. I agree Naikou, strength cannot be measured in terms of military ability. Who knows what technology the Nox use, other than for their floating city
  9. Yes you're right. But we must learn that countries cannot and must not act like this anymore. Open war is not the means of carrying out international politics. We (yes I am a Brit. and use the royal we to include the US) were wrong to go into Iraq under the thinly disguised veil of a threat of WoMD. When it was a worry over what would happen to the world wide oil markets should there be political unrest in the middle east. Yes, Saddam was a total despot, and personally deserved what happened to him, but the means was wrong. The UK politicians who now decide that military force should be used in this manner, have never themselves seen the horror of war, perhaps they would think twice.
  10. Great episode, I really enjoyed the humour, as well as the effects with so many doubles. So for Carter doubles, who's the hubbie? and who's the father? Jack, Pete, Marty
  11. I think they have had to get his back story up and running fairly quickly, as the other chracters are well established and they need to move on with the story arc. Also at time of writing the early episodes, did they know they were going to picked up for season 10?
  12. I'm afraid to say that this is one of the weakest episodes in Stargate history imho. Even Amanda seemed to be thinking "What the hell am I doinmg in this episode, and why the hell are they running it?" Very disappointing PS - Sov, didn't notice the Sloan lookalike, what scene was he in?
