Ok folks, I don't know how many folks natively use a torrent program and use no protection, but my real quesiton is wht DO you use? Here I use Peer Guardian from Phoenix Labs. I actually use Azureus as my main program, and use a PeerGuardian plugin. Recently I just found a new Country blocking plugin developed that does country blocking for Azureus while looking through Slyck's Forums. that I'm going to try. Obviously all of these tactics does not make anything 100% safe/secure for you (MP@@ could and probably do use proxy servers to hide their own IP addresses when lookinf for torrent users), but every little bit helps. :) I looked into proxy services, but other than for web surfing, they're no good (due to SLOWWWW Speed) for using as a download proxy service. One I seem to been hearing about lately is TOR (The Onion Router) program. Neat thing about it is you can load this program (which comes with Firefox browser) onto a USB flash key/pen drive, and surf anonymously from any machine you walk up to (Libraries, Coffee cafes, etc).
