A shadow fighter, yes, but not a full size shadow ship.... a lone whitestar cant even handle centauri cruisers let alone an actual shadow ship. The minbari being a good 2-3000 years ahead of humanity i would place far far above the technology level of the federation and one shadow ship can easily blow a minbari cruiser out of the sky. I would place the federation at perhaps centauri technology level.... That places the shadows at a good 10,000 years ahead of the federation in tech level.... Cube > Federation fleet Species 8472 > Cube Voyager > Species 8472 Now Shadow tech > federation tech Therefore Shadow fleet > federation fleet Here we come to the funny part Federation fleet > Voyager Therefore Shadow fleet > Species 8472 Blame star trek writers for the skewed logic :P

From what I understand, Fox Network scrapped it. There were too many rebelious ideas in the show - anti-government, anti-corporate ideas that they felt would give Fox a bad name for airing it in the first place. from the time they agreed to air the she until its untimely death (I love the show and wish it continued), they were trying to bury it - playing episodes in the wrong order in which they were intended, aired at odd times, etc. Sounds like futurama and what happened to the producers of fight club :P I just hope that one day fox get proved wrong and both futurama and firefly get new series ala family guy heh (right now futurama is getting jus as much advertisement as the simpsons in australia, being put on 2-3 times a week at a 8pm slot....)

You got it in one. The corporations will keep spoon-feeding the crap they put out too unless people realise what is being put out..is well..crap, and that is kind of unlikely. Sad world it is. The only way to get past this IMO is that amateurs start to do their own stuff and create an underground network of sci-fi. You wont get anything interesting/original like Sapphire & Steel anymore unfortuantly. Ofc you know you could i dunno try writing something original yourself - it aint easy at all after 100+ years of sci-fi/fantasy writing - hell you could go out on a limb and say nothing has been completely orginal since hg wells and tolkien/lewis :P

Futurama! Killed by fox much in the same way upn did to enterprise (put it on at bad times, it would get preempted etc) Season 4 "Where no fan has gone before" is a friggen classic ;P The one show they NEED to make more of is firefly dammit hehe

What if they had gone the futurama route - nothing can go faster than light so they simply increased the speed of light so that they could move faster than current light - in the future future i dunno mebe they made "infinite speed" faster than warp 10 or something illogically logical like that :P

i was actually suprised that the president was telling bill to knock the admiral off first lol but i am guessing that the xo of the pegeus will somehow stop what she has planned as he seems to get on well with col tie. She knows shes dying in a few eps and knows how the admiral will treat all those civilian ships - her priorities are right, get rid of the admiral and the civvies will be safe.

To sum it up WOW Havent seen quality stories and characterisations like that since b5, next ep is gonna rock. Season 1 was a lil slow to get started but damn season 2 has jus been one great ep after another.

Im surprised i got lieutenant considering I only like ds9 and ent :P

Margaret Weis wrote a good explanation in one of her introductions for that space series she wrote - from memory it boiled down to science-fiction tries to explain it scientifically even if its fantastical, like star trek, while science-fantasy gets over any real explanations and just has fun like dune or star wars. Using that explanation most sci-fi is actually sci-fantasy :P

Bester is probably my favourite. Others i'd put on my list would be: David Prowse Vader The Cylons Weyoun The master Davros & Daleks Agent Smith Ash from alien. Q i've never considered as villain, more a antagonist like Quark.

I've read the books umpteen times, i reckon mostly harmless is one of the better ones - the sandwich maker is a classic! Oh and the ships computer working out its damage always makes me laugh no matter how many times i read it. Liked the movie alot, was a good rendition as long as you dont get too technical about it - its not like the books are exactly technical about anything :P

Anakins fall doesnt make sense. Action was cool, obi-wan and yoda was cool. The end part on the lava planet where he loses his temper was cool. But the parts where he tells windu about the emporer, then tries to stop windu killing the emp even though he killed dooku in the same way 20 minutes earlier just does not make sense. And like everyone else seems to have noticed, why does a name change suddenly mean he is going to go murder children? IMHO having that after he was put in the suit would have been much cooler and made more sense as he would have had the padme situation to make him really evil. I dunno i always imagined the jedi being killed off by evull black vader not pretty boy anakin :P

No game i know of has been released on DVD yet so you'll be fine as far as that's concerned. Half Life 2 is a great way of showing off a new pc and an interesting story too. Any of the X-wing/Tie-Fighter series, Aliens vs Predator 2, Jedi Knight 2, Dune 2000 and Starcraft are what i'd consider classics that arent so old that the graphics detract from the gameplay. Another good one is Dawn of War especially if you were ever a fan of the Warhammer 40k wargame. Doom 3 has amazing graphics and is sci-fi. Mechwarrior 3 & 4 are also fairly decent. Planetside, EVE Online, Star Wars Galaxies and Anarchy Online are online only, pay to play sci-fi games (they have trial periods where u can download the full program and try it before buying) Which is the best would be up to personal choice and I'm sure ive missed a few good ones that i never bought/played.

www.eve-online.com is an amazing space rpg that is worth looking at if you havent tried it already www.scifiuk.com/data/movies/eveonline/evesynopsis.asp says more than i could.... I may be biased after being addicted to it for 18months but ah well :P

My vote goes for b5 season 3 or 4 opening credits :P (btw its real instruments not synth) Yeah the hitch-hikers theme is cool, dr who theme is good but nothing to write home about musically, and definately red dwarf theme always gets stuck in ur head for atleast a few hours. I'll also agree ent's theme is the worst, im like wtf am i watching touched by an angel or something every time i hear it :P

I beta tested dawn of war, good game but i was bored of it after 3 months of testing so never bought the final version.

Only a legitimate medical reason would make me throw away my arm, heart or whatever and even then i would prefer a biological solution to a mechanical solution. Enhancing the body to be outside human limitations is just asking for trouble imho as it brings up all kinds of social and economical issues and the world has enough of those already.

I liked 2nd edition, the first boxed edn with the cool close combat, wargear cards and characters that actually had power.... last two editions have been bleh and more a marketting ploy to make ppl buy more rank and file models. (well imho neway) Eldar - like how can u not like elves with guns!
