They were a very important element of Blake's 7. I don't think Blake's 7 would be half as fun as it was if it used A Star Trek teleport system.
BTW, Does anyone know where I can get a Liberator teleport bracelet? Apparently they were pilfered by the crew over the years. I would kill for one. And no, I don't want to make one out of construction paper. So don't post a link to that page.
Here's a web site where you can buy one (they are currently out of stock but they do have a wait list):

Hope this helps.

He was a shallow comic relief character. Personally I found it amusing that Tuvok murdered facsimiles of him in the holodeck.
Yeah, he was just irritating.
LOL. They should have left him and Tuvok "joined" (Tuvix). A much better character than either.

I haven't been a huge fan of BSG due to the fact that I travel a lot and always miss episodes. However, the Scifi channel just finished running a ton of them. Since I'm home with a broken leg (don't ask!) it was the perfect opportunity to get caught up. I also watched the season premier. WOW!!! What a great fraking show. Now I am a huge fan! I dig it because it is less about scifi and more about the human condition and the struggle to survive. Great stories, great actors. This is the type of show we need more of for sure. What more need I say?
BTW, what the frak does the WWF have to do with scifi? I thought most of the movies made for the Scifi channel are lame but this takes the cake! :grr:

Wouldn't that be:
YaSoft?
or
MicroHoo?
:P
LOL. Right you are. I guess I've been using Google way too long! :p
-
Differently? Well, for one thing, in the MU they just take what they need no matter what. In our universe, our politicians---oh, wait---never mind! LOL :p

Monochrome yes, Black screen with green type. Can you imagine? LOL
It will only handle Windows 3.1 (or DOS of course). Dinosaur indeed. Must be a collectors item by now.

I just picked up these 6:
Crime Travelers - 3 DVD set. A neat little Brit TV show that ran only one season. It's about two cops who have access to a time machine and use it to go back in time to solve crimes. It stars Michael French, Chole Annett and Sue Johnson. Very well done.
Idiocracy
Dr. Strangelove
Xchange
Heathers
Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Very funny.

When Chakotay joined the Maquis he had his own ship (small that it may have been). Maybe because of that he felt uncomfortable serving under her. Not easy for some guys to take the back seat to a woman. As I see it, he did his duty every time he questioned one of her decisions. That was his job as her first officer. Disobeying her direct orders, however, was a no-no. He should have been a stronger character. The writers made him look stupid every time he had an encounter with Seska (a very strong character herself).

Hmmmm
Microgoo?

I still own the original IBM "suitcase". Info here http://www.columbia.edu/acis/history/portable.html

This where and how I use my PC...
Where oh where did you get that monster case??? Exactly what I've been searching for.
-
I just downloaded it again and it has a file size of "0"! Trying to extract yields a damaged or unknown file type error message!
-
I rented this DVD with much anticipation only to be disappointed. While the effects were very nice the story blew chunks. Let's not even get into the acting (or lack thereof)! :-[ Save your bucks and buy a bag of lollipops.

Chakotay is a poo-tah. He had a good opportunity to nail Janeway in the ep "Shattered" (11x07). With the ship broken up into different timelines, he encounters Janeway (who thinks he's with the Marquis) and convinces her of the time differences throughout Voyager and that he's her first officer in the future. Later she asks him if they were intimate (in the future). He says no. Dummy should have said yes! Might have gotten an extra pip! :p
-
Finally finished watching all of them. Signed the save journeyman petitions as could do with a 2nd season
Were they still airing them? I thought due to the writers strike it stopped.
Darn I must have missed almost half of the season. :'(
Petitions? Are they not planning on bringing it back or is this "just in case"?
You can view episodes you may have missed @ NBCs website I believe.

A friend just lent me season one of Kyle XY. I like it. And yeah, the mom is cool.

1. Janeway's hairstyle only looked good in the ep "Living Witness". Otherwise, she looked like a transplanted grade school teacher.
2. Harry Kim was an idiot for not bitchin about having no promotion in 7 years. Especially considering how many times he came up with life saving ideas.
3. Tom Paris may have been mildly retarded. Captain Protron. I rest my case.
4. I believe Janeway had the hots for Tuvok. Several times she is seen "stroking" his head. Oh yes!
5. B'Elanna Torres could have kicked anyone's butt in Starfleet when she got pissed enough. Bad mama, bad!
6. Why were there no "Mirror, Mirror type episodes???
7. Chakotay was way too laid back. How many times did he let Seska poop all over him? He should have snapped her back into last year!
8. The Doctor (EMH) was the best of all the Trek doctors! And he could sing!!!
9. Nelix, OMG. I rest my case!
10. No matter what the shipboard problem, deflector not working, transporter malfunction, toilet not flushing, just tighten the "angular confinement beam" and "POOF" - it's all good again!

I think 08 will suddenly, inexplicably turn into 09 after a while. Watch and see if I'm not right! :p

Very interesting thread!
I consider myself spiritual and I do believe in life "out there". So I suppose I don't need to reconcile.
It's interesting to note that "Aliens" have become somewhat of a religion in and of themselves.

5. All from one person. I usually erase the non-keepers. Saves space on the server, no?
