  1. I agree with that - season 3 was the best of them. Season 4 was like the last breath of a dying animal - it knew it was going and just wanted one last run. They rushed the 'Temporal War' to finish in the first two episodes, had very few re-watchable epsiodes (I watched some S3 eps 4 or 5 times, S4 eps only once or twice), too many story-arcs and they essentially finished the series with a lame 'terrorist' story about Human xenophobes with the mirror-universe two-parter providing a brief respit before a 'future's past' episode with Riker thrown in for good measure (he was a little too big to resemble himself from ten years ago). Like someone said - none of the big-wigs who work for Paramount care what happens to Trek anymore and considering we had eighteen straight years of it (twenty-five seasons worth), I'm not surprised. I think they just wanted it to be really dead this season.
  2. I think Bad Wolf is the 12.5 Doctor incarnation from the Colin Baker era. He has been strategically eliminating alien influences from Earth in order to make us more vulnerable to the Dalek invasion force. Notice that in each episode it detracts an alien force from our world - the Autons, Gelf, Slitheen, the Collection (run by Henry van Statten, buired at the end of the ep), the Jagrafess and the nano-genes. Isn't it a co-incidence that episode 7 is called 'the long game' and it's a hundred years before the Bad Wolf episode. The only one who could manipulate the doctor so simply (in timelord terms) would be another timelord.
  3. Aliens of London is a year from now, roughly 2006 (Rose makes the comment about how would she know who the Prime Minister was and the latest election was this year 2005); Dalek was 2012. Maybe there was a treaty established during Doctor 7's time where they sent all the war criminals to be executed by Daleks or maybe he was just executed by them and they allowed him to take the master's remains. Given that time is reletive it could be Adam from 2022 who has spent time learning about the Tardis tech or perhaps the Jagrafess downloaded some info into his memory when Adam was being downloaded. Well, only two more weeks to go...
  4. No that pretty much sums it up just nicely! Besides we already know it happens from episode 2 (End of the World)
  5. Okay - I've only glanced at all the previous posts: It's interesting but this actually ties a lot of stuff together including a couple of TNG and a VOY. In the first part Zefram Cochrane kills the Vulcan that greets him and in the future Archer makes the comment about 'what would've...' : the mirror universe is what would come about if the Borg hadn't gone back and changed it. We know from the movie that Zerfram is self-quoted as being 'out for himself' and so this is what happens had he not met the crew of Enterprise-E. It's mentioned in one of the later Voyager episodes where Braxton attempts to blow up Voyager his earlier self mentions that the Federation owes its existence to the Borg. The Gorn may be a mutant or perhaps a slave within his race - how else would he have ended up serving the Tholians so readily? He was perhaps a half-cast or a sub-species like Andorians and the Aenar. Interestingly the Defiant is the ship which brings forth the rise of power of the Terran Empire, crushing the Alien rebellion and in about two-hundred years time it will be the Defiant that allows the human rebels to stand up to the Alliance and defend Terek-Nor. The technology that we see in the future (Kirk's era) hasn't changed much probably because the Empire has not been challenged much over the course of a century due to their superior technology and it has simply stagnated like most empires do. We finally saw a full-sized Tholian in all it's glory and the title song change was a nice touch as were the TOS sound effects. This was a definite plus in my book
  6. What about Joanna Lumley? ;) William Hartnell should be coupled with Richard Hurndall who played him in 'The Five Doctors'. Sylvester McCoy was the first and holds that place but Tom Baker was one of the best and Christopher Eccleston reminds me so much of him
  7. Why the coke should I drink your pepsi-fied Tea? ;) I tried it but I'm not much of a tea person (and it was before I saw Picard do it) This message contains no cola-oriented hidden messages like drink Coca-cola or alternatives like delicious Pepsi
  8. There was a writers strike during season 2 it's only 22 episodes some of which were assimilated from the never-produced Star Trek 2 series. I'm not sure if Gates was involved in it somehow...
  9. The Uk has been watching them ahead of the sci-fi channel since episode 11 Notice that the logo changes to 'sky one'
  10. I must admit that I didn't care about Enterprise being cancelled after season 3 mainly because we'd had 17 straight years of Star Trek and it should've taken a breather before pushing out with yet another series. The irony is that they are petitioning the Sci-Fi channel to pick up Enterprise for the remaining season(s) and they were the ones that cancelled Farscape. Well I'll sign anyway, what have I got to lose?
  11. The funniest moment I remember is also a Worf moment from the episode "Q who?" (I think). Q is on the bridge complaining to Picard about how he is being mistreated by his fellows, they of course don't believe him and he says "What do I have to do to convince you people?". "Die!" replies Worf. It makes me smirk just thinking of it.

    New Series?

Agreed - he managed to do five whole seasons with only one time-travel storyline and it made sense. Plus not everyone got along, we never did see the Vorlon homeworld and the aliens didn't all look like humans with simple prosthetics. Perfect.
  13. Well I've thought of number 92: 92. Someone flushes the/any toilet
  14. 1. DS9 - especially the later seasons with the wars 2. TNG 2. Enterprise 2. Voyager 5. TOS 6. TAS I know it says 2 three times but only because these three had good stories or effects but lacked in something else made me choose them all 2nd
