ifilmco Posted October 30, 2005 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Yes, in the strictest, most religiously observant perspective, Kirk WAS the face that pioneered the voyage, as it were; if you broaden your narrowness you may come to find that simply because he was seminal, doesn't mean he was the best. And I'm SURE we're all aware that Emmys/Oscars, etc. aren't Divine Ordinations and that actually getting one of those doesn't necessarily mean that the odds heavily (or at all) favored the winner. All the others were like 6 year old kids, snatching the toy from someone elses hand and doing things themselves. Picard was the only captain who ACTUALLY commanded, the others all did it themselves. Very hard to choose between PICARD n SISKO. ofcourse... we all know KIRK is the main man and he'll always be no. 1 regardless who is whose favourite. But AFTER that My FAV has to be Sisko... Then Picard... I used to like JANEWAY whn I was 15... sadly... I rewatched voyager recently at 22... and well... let's just say I don't have the same respect for her that I once had.
