Half of everything I've had to buy more than once because I scratched it or lost it or it got stolen or it was a piss-poor copy. I'm not saying we're entitled or that we should pirate everything, but man it gets old buying the White Album and The Wall over again everytime a new shiny disk format comes out. I have a ton of stuff on vinyl and cassette and VHS (I'm OLD), much of which is not available anymore. I'm moving this stuff to DVD as I can. I support good movies and music. I download, try it and buy the best of what I hear and see. I pay for what I think I should. I hate paying for taped off TV stuff. It seems stupid. Abast matey, Aye, yep, uh-huh. hmmm... I have 36 8-track tapes and a working 8-track player (Realistic/Radioshack).
