Steveo
I only tune in for the votes part, just to hear our man Wogan. The UK just don't take it seriously at all, and all those bloody Eastern European ex-commies ruin it with their votes.
ZaphodiLe
Swedish media make such a big deal out of it, I really don't know why. I only watched to laugh at all the contestants.
paniq
The band that went to entertain won - even if the song wasn't much kop - didn't like the UK entry. It seems if you are willing to be a bit different you stand a chance

Hilander72
I got home from work and tuned in when the voting started (the best part :)). I hadn't heard a song (except the Swedish contribution on the radio 24/7) and expected Finland to end dead last or somewhere around the bottom 5. When the votes started to come in I was surprised that they got high points from the first couple of nations and kept coming and the rest is history... After they had won I heard the song for the first time and saw their show with masks and all. They are actually quite entertaining and the song isn't that bad. :) Being a Swedish-Finn I'm proud Finland won Eurovision for the 1st time. Go Lordi. :D
Antipodean
it really is hard to take Eurovision seriously mind you.
MrDad
Are they a serious group or a novelty act? The song reminded me of Alice Cooper but their stage get-up was like a page from the GWAR playbook.
GorunNova
o_O... it sounded like a crossbreed between Judas Priest, Metallica, and dance pop... at least to me. Of course... *chorus* ... what do I know? I'm just an 80 foot tall fire-breathing turtle.
