Amnot Borg
Details. What do you think? Will it help increase online participation? Are people going to be able to gain better educations online in those areas? Is Moneysoft going to strike it rich again?
TetsuoShima
Nah, it's just another ploy to make more money... Pay half first and later pay by the hour... One place where I do see this might work is in a startup cybercafé (that doesn't have large funds to begin with), but that's about it... Paying for something with interest is allmost allways worse than, saving for it and then paying for it completely.
Guest c4evap
I agree with TetsuoShima. A cheap ploy me thinks for monetary gain. Arggggggg...and they call us pirates! Note to Billy Gates - Hey Billy, Just how much fxxxing $$$ do you need anyway? c4

Amnot Borg
I don't like it. I do see possible uses in low income areas. The rates charged for partial use of something sitting in your home will probably be to high. Perhaps rural schools or villages might be able to use it. Internet would then be the next problem in those areas.

Amnot Borg
I can't remember if I or someone else made a thread about $100 computers but I've found a link that says great progress has been made on them lately. Poorer parts of the world will soon have computers almost as good as our "big business" versions. Of course, the color could be better.
