Writer Arthur C Clarke dies at 90

He will be certainly missed, he was unbeatable at articulating complex stories but maintaining an incredibily good readbility. I've read most of it's works and he outstands not just by the acuracity of it's insights on the future, but for it's optisim.

 

Just a correction, 2001 grows from a single short story of his called "The Sentinel" and for Rendezvous with Rama, well I liked the story but it's nowhere near the deeps of 2001, or Childhood's End.
