hayden
Been waiting for a special occasion to blow that wad of cash you've got lying around?? Have a look at this! Engadget: R2D2 projector, webcam and lightsabre Skype phone Review This could be reaching out to our geek audience a bit too much, but the combo media dock-cum-projector housed in the Nikko Electronics R2D2's guts has to get at least a look. Besides the fact that it's the iconic little droid, the projector's remote is housed in a Millennium Falcon Hyperdrive, adding to the geek cred. Granted, the $2,500 price tag could be a bit prohibitive for your 12-year-old Star Wars obsessed nephew, but maybe he could give the wireless R2D2 webcam, or the Anakin Skywalker Lightsabre Skype phone a go. Regardless, check out the gallery below and the video after the break (or get your download on, if that's your thing). http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/10/video-r2d2-projector-webcam-and-lightsabre-skype-phone/ The video intro at the producers website is amazing, I'd strongly recommend having a look at this one. --- http://www.nikkor2d2.com/ Now if only Starwars was any good and i had a spare $3000 in my back pocket. hayden
yeah, the R2D2 dvd projector is good hey. Its got everything built into it. When you think about what your getting the price isn't really that bad. how much would you pay for a high def projector atm? $2000?
USWhoFan
Very true. If I had enough money to consider something like this I'd check the specs first thing and determine just how much extra I'm paying for the "sweet case". :P
