  1. I would say the Federation would destroy the Cylons, for a couple reasons. 1 is that they(BSG/Cylons) use conventional warfare. They don't even have LASERS. Even if they did, there is stuff in tng (I would have to find the exact ep.) where people go after them with lasers, and they basically laugh at them and seem tempted to take down their shields for fun. 2 is that I don't think they have the same type of computer systems. In Trek they talk about gigaquads of information, which I don't think has ever been explained, but it would show that they do have some other way of storing system, which means they might not even be on a binary system. I haven't looked up much info on that though, so I am not sure. That would make it really hard for cylons to infect with their virus. The shielding on Federation ships might also prevent transmission, though I doubt it since they can still communicate, but they might have a better type of comm system that can filter things. Now assuming I am wrong and you could infect a Federation ship effectively, I would go in the other direction and say the cylons would win. I do agree though that the Federation would probably try to negotiate, and assuming the Cylons agreed I could see them later taking out the Federation as they did the humans in BSG. But in an all out war upon meeting... Goodbye toasters.
  2. I am not sure if lee was 100% sarcastic, I think he really misses Boris, if you know what I mean.

    Tis an LDS religion thing.
  4. Ok, this thread is a month old. I am fairly sure it is fixed by now. Unless we hear more from Furious, how about we assume this fixed? Just a thought.
  5. That was great! Almost makes me wish we still had ratios and that just so that we might get people with posts like this! Also makes me wish for someone like Bori.... *slaps self*
  6. "admin" is the most common password, btw, especially for linksys routers, which is the most common brand, but frankly I don't think you know quite what you are doing, so I would just go for the reset button on the router if the methods already suggested fail(other than when I already mentioned that as a possibile fix). That will work, but your router won't be secure until you actually pick up the users guide that came with the router and read how to add a password.
  7. First thing you can do is just reset the router(there should be a reset button you can press on the physical router). Or get a new one that supports wpa. If you want to crack wep, there are many guides. Here is one that helps you crack, but also explains why wep is dead. http://grotto11.com/blog/slash.html?%201039831658
  8. Euhm, please read the first post again and place your vote in the other two polls as well. The borg cube is definately in there... ;) Hmm. Guess I missed the mark on that one. Well, figured that might happen, which is why I put in the "unless" part. Ahh well, thanks Tetsuo!
  9. Umm, since no one else mentioned this, maybe I am missing something, but I didn't see the borg cube as an option. I agree the Defiant won by a lot.
  10. It is a lot of viewing, but it's also a ton of fun, especially since you can only watch a trek episode like 20-30 times before it gets old, and lets face it, a lot of us are there already. Time to wear out dvds of a new show(well, "if you haven't seen it, it's new to you," that is). :D
  11. I think that for a first season it was remarkably good. Of course it had a base to work with(SG-1), but so did all ST after TOS. I would say it could beat out the first season of ST:TNG, 1-2 of DS9, VOY, and 1-3 of ENT. And that is saying something. The only thing that really made it slightly less interesting was that for the most part EVERY episode either was about a ZPM or Wraith. Now in this season it is a lot about the Wraith, but in a bit of a different way, of course the last season paved the way for this. Really the only thing that has become a bit annoying is the thought that they can so easily hide Atlantis from existance, especially since all anyone would have to do is dial their gate address to know that they are still there(unless I am missing something). Plus the fact that they keep running into new people on just about every ep (and yes, I know that they say they are without a home, but still...). I guess I started the post without a good point in hand, hoping to figure it out as I go, but the more I think about it, the more I can't decide which I like more. I sure am glad this show came into being though, because sg-1 was feeling old last season. This season that is getting back what it lost, but that is a post for another section of Stargate.
  12. I thought there was some sort of special feature on one of the dvds where RDA says they just did it because it was easier, and to get over it? Or something to that extent. In all reality, it is because it's t.v. But we all knew that already(or at least I hope we did. ;) )
  13. Ok, as far as this thread goes, I asked the same (or at least a very similar) question, months ago, here. So yeah... this basically supports the TetsuoShima arguement, and makes sense to me.
  14. On DVD (as it is now, if they change it so that it only works with a code and for so many viewings, etc, it had better be less) I would say that 30-35 bucks is reasonable for a season of a half hour show, and that for a full hour show like stargate maybe 55-60. As for downloads, without copy protection/ads .99 per episode. With copy protection .49, and with ads free. Note that all of my figures are in American dollars.
  15. Here is the most packets sent/received I have ever taken a screenshot of:
