I did actually buy the Matrix collection recently, had it on VHS, but DVD is nicer.

Wow, almost make you feel embarrassed for them, almost as much as you want to beat them up later in the parking lot. I could watch some of Jim Carrey's movies for the same reason.

Star Wars is the ultimate topic.
May the Force be with you.
Yes, but hardley anyone starts a thread unless it starts out something like "Look at this chubby/ugly/goofy..."

The less said about Tuvok's libido... the better.
It does seem that not getting any incenses violence in Vulcan's in Pon Farr.
Interestingly Pon Farr of female Vulcans induces the overproduction of the saliva in fanboys.
Yeah...that's about right!
Fanboy
A passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces. (IE: At the mall I almost got mowed over by some NiteShdw fanboy on his skateboard).
c4 :p
The Pon Farr sounds like a better afliction than Fanboy, at least other adults can respect being afflicted becasue of physiology rather than being influenced by media to the extent that you mow people down for something trivial.
O'kay, time to fire up now...That's how I get into the Pon Farr sometimes.
EDIT: Got that buzz now and it occured to me, Sex alone couldn't solve the problem, no one like to mention masturbation much, but iof that would solve the problem they wouldn't have had to come up with all these work arounds.
...just saying...

Because of Tuvok being full blooded AND because of his medical condition (whatever it's called) that keeps him on the edge of snapping emotionally, he would probably not only beat Spock down, but might nibble on the carcass when he's done.
-
I would like to buy a t-shirt for that.
Actually, that is kinda screwed up for people who, unlike us, don't know how to access ANYTHING from the web. Kids need that stuff for school too, the ones who don't have PCs at home. Our school here (JR& SR High) REQUIRE homework to be either printed or emailed to teachers. My step son actually failed a project because he labled insects with handwritten slips (I kid you not).

Well, that's kinda odd, isn't it? The Chnese gov't shouldn't be able to control outside companies, they should filter thier internet. It sucks, but that's thier business, Microsoft is probably a little nervous if they have alot of chinese customers, can you imagine a whole country censoring you.

An interesting (to me) article was on CNN this morningabout iTunes improving ratings and that they didn't expect or worry about the effect on DVD sales.
"Overall' date=' we've seen our ratings increase for the shows we have on iTunes, and it continues to pick up momentum," said Albert Cheng, executive vp digital media at Disney-ABC Television Group.[/quote']"The DVD potentially will get affected' date=' but the revenue as it relates to the studio is higher because of the cost being so much lower and the price points being the same while you're getting a larger percentage of the revenue," Silverman said.[/quote']That's Ben Silverman of "The OFFICE"The entire article is here At CNN
There is alot of talk of how and why networks are liking this, like making money from sales they wouldn't have gotten from people who won't buy the DVD but would pay 1.99us per show instead.

Certainly looks it.

I work for an electronics chain. I sell and educate and cell sell phones. Lots of cell phones.

I'm just making backup copies of music and movies I own...
The originals are in the backseat of my car. Oh no, they're gone...someone must have stolen them all. Can I still keep my "Backups"?

Man...I haven't read a leaflet lately, much less books. I get in the Readers Digest and National Geo. but that's about it. I only get sci-fi from here and video.
I agree with the Road Runner, [Adult Swim] had one on the other night on Robot Chicken or something like that, ad the bird got caught and eaten, Elmer Fudd gets the rabbit...yeah, very shocking!

The Outer Limits had a few good ones for when I was a kid. Twilight Zone too, but not as much so.

I saw it, read it and well, that's how it is here in the forums, except that the fires are smaller. I'm not trying to make lite of it, it surely seems insulting, but I really didn't see the cartoon itself and only read the description. That was a little out of hand now that I think about it. They don't need to have a sense of humor about it, but certainly they can't believe they were doing the right thing by setting fires. Then again, maybe they do. How many abortion clinics have americans done damage to?
EDIT: O'kay, saw the cartoon, I missed the link first time out. I don'r know if it's so much the cartoon, but the commentary.

I decided to have a go at it, seemed this thing was very coversational and got everything right. But then I didn't ask anything even vaguely interesting.

I don't know if there is a limit with AIM, I bet there is; Yahoo's IM program has one of about 250MB.
You can use Skype to do it, they don't have a limit, but the times I tried it to another cable customer it was slow as dirt.

Is not the Forum idea a means of perpetuating Trivia
TRIVIA I love it!
Ain't that the truth. As much as some of us watch and some who study it, this crowd is tough to stump.
-
...what?
Roddenberry, it was a joke.
Was NX-01 not the first ship named Enterprise?
If not, once someone answers, let us know where you got this information. I'm going shopping for trivia (AKA watching my Enterprise collection yet again.)

B) I don't believe that Star Trek is dead just more in a hibernation. Look at how long it was from TOS to the Next Generation. I think they flooded the market after the next generation and people just got tired of it. Give it a few years and it will come back around. B)
Yes because Paramount knows you have a few coins in your pocket yet. I think that as long as it's a draw, it will never die. Hey, they could drag a dollar outta my pocket right now if they had a trailer for something new. Of course I'd get that dollar back with my Niteshdw.com membership privledges....
EDIT: BTW, that link would have been alot better for me if the site had english translation, and yes I'm too lazy and don't care enough to do it myself.

Never seen this, but a member here (Marcroft) has what looks like one as an avatar..
I don't think it was ever in a movie, but then I'm not one to know all the facts like where and how many phaser banks there are. (That statement isn't targeted at more faithful fans)

Very good description of the book. After 30+ years of being known as the crew of a short lived, but popular, TV series, the whole bunch probably had bad days.
Just like Galaxy Quest, which I agree is funny as hell, fans can probably be just as frustrating as any customer in a store.

I never thought she was much more than a little cute. Even out of costume.

Dreams are bunk, they better come up with something better than that or a bunch of people will lose it quick. We all know that a show can be saved for at least a season, but I'd rather let it go than watch Whedon keeping us occupied with second rate story lines.

Here's a cute photo. These must be from episode 15, unless I'm mistaken, this is the first time everyone has been in the same scene and haven't met up to ep 14.

I disagree...she should get her when no ones around. By the way, the re-run is on and they are out there with Scar right now.
EDIT: The Starbuck character is kida jerky all the way around. I don't believe anybody acts that way.
