and not to metion all the greenhouse gases that are trapped in the rain forrest and if climate changes to warmer (= less rain in this areas), then we can count on regular fires like in the 2 seasons areas (pampa and such). all this stored greenhouse gases will go up in the air (again). and if after all that the global temperature rises above 5 degrees, all the methane gases in the sea pockets will start to blow up (since sea becomes warmer also). now, then we will have a real problem becose this is far more "global warming friendly" gas. I have a torrent on that issue (methane pockets in the see floor and global warming) from bbc horizont and its quite sinister let me tell you.. once the pebble starts to roll, there will be no way of stopping the avalanche. thats what Im worried about.

ok, its 2/3rds - you win :) inaccuraties with the location of the spiral arms and the spread of expanding empires/federation/alliances is actually easier in this middle spaces; less worlds to conquer - faster you can claim its yours ;)
