  1. i also watched that, it was some conference. I thought it was a good idea.

It would a show a little watermark of the nike symbol or the golden gates for mcdonalds. Seems a good idea.

He was talking about using bittorrent for tv, and then these watermarks being added to tv shows. I thought it was a good idea and that the tv companies would be more likely to allow this. He didn't talk about things being in the codec i don't think, i believe he just did a watermark like that which niteshdw did for his next generation encodes.

However, i guess it could be possible. In the official divX codec it shows a watermark at the beginning. It is an option which you can turn off, but i guess you could have it so that it downloads something off the internet. But the problem is, what if the computer was not connected to the internet? Would the show not work?

Does anyone know of a link to the original presentation?

  2. that's good to know,

i looked on the star trek website and found this:

According to Variety, the proposed story will focus on the early days of James T. Kirk and Spock, including their first meeting at Starfleet Academy and their first mission in space.

However it goes on to say that Abrams doesn't agree.

And that here is the link: Here

  3. Police Attacked After The Piratebay Goes Down

    Comments From Thepiratebay

SITE DOWN - WILL BE UP AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITHIN A DAY OR TWO

In the morning of 2006-05-31 the Swedish National Criminal Police showed a search warrant to Rix|Port80 personnell. The warrant was valid for all datacentres of Rix|Port80 and was directed at The Pirate Bay. The allegation was breach of copy-right law, alternatively assisting breach of copy-right law.

The police officers were allowed access to the racks where the TPB servers and other servers are hosted. All servers in the racks were clearly marked as to which sites run on each. The police took down all servers in the racks, including the non-commercial site Piratbyrån, the mission of which is to defend the rights of TPB via public debate.

According to police officers simultaneously questioning the president of Rix|Port80, the purpose of the search warrant is to take down TPB in order to secure evidence of the allegations mentioned above.

The necessity for securing technical evidence for the existance of a web-service which is fully official, the legality of which has been under public debate for years and whose principals are public persons giving regular press interviews, could not be explained. Asked for other reasoning behind the choice to take down a site, without knowing wether it is illegal or not, the officers explained that this is normal.

The TPB can receive compensation from the Swedish state in case that the upcoming legal processes show that TPB is indeed legal.

  4. At least they aren't making us say morning prayers any more.

i thought it was in the constitution to keep the state and religion apart? or is that something i've invented? Wasn't that why it was a problem about teaching intelligent design and that?

  5. I liked it, although i would have preferred it if somethings hadn't happened like that. Like i didn't want Jean Grey to die, but oh well. To say in England it was called The Last Stand, they kinda left the ending with something to go.

Anyway overall, it was a good movie.

  6. Vulcan blood is copper-based and is green when oxygenated in the arteries and is copper or rust colored when deoxygenated in the veins. In general, Vulcans are three times physically stronger than humans, and live three times as longâ€â€ÂSarek lived just over two centuries and it has been suggested that Vulcans have a life expectancy of at least 250 Earth years. A Vulcan of less than a century in age is still considered young. The strength of Vulcans is often attributed to Vulcan's gravity being significantly greater than Earth's. It has also been attributed to their superior mental discipline. Vulcans prefer higher temperatures than humans do. In the original series episode "The Deadly Years" when Spock was affected by rapid aging he noted how cold the ship seemed, and he responded by turning the temperature in his room up to well above 100 °F (38 °C). They are also able to breathe a much thinner atmosphere than humans, due to the atmospheric conditions on the planet Vulcan.

    Thank you wikipedia
