sorry for being a n00b, who is section 31?

the more troubles on the file sharing front i hear about in the US, the happier i am to be in canada... But a question to my fellow canadians. Why exactly is it that canada is so easy going about file sharing compared to the US?

 

Perhaps it has something to do with the slack pot smoking laws here... maybe even a direct connection ;)

 

Because Canada is the promised land and it's in the top 3 places to live in the world. We all know that rating is based off of file-sharing laws. ;)

 

I dunno, if i had the choice of risking trouble W/ U.S. athoritys but living in america, or having no trouble w/ athoritys but living in canada i would chose america. Sorry, i love my cancadian brothers but it is way to liberal up there for my taste and i like the weather down here in colorado, lol.

I also don't think they will be looking for the Joe-shmo average american dling for the hell of it, but rather pirates who sell the stuff after they DL. :)

but how well can people monitor those who download and sell and those who just download?? Let the conspiracy theories commence:

In england they only seem to be going after uploads. Which is stupid cause most of the stuff comes from north america. (as in the continent)

How about: The first leader of the borg was a dude name locutus. They went around assimiliating upto species 124. Then locutus decided that he wanted a nice bit of girl to flirt with. So he got hold of Borg Queen. Then somehow magically he died, got killed, something or other. Then the Borg Queen missed him for ages. And then when she got hold of Picard. She thought, hey he's a nice bit of ass. So she turned him into locutus, like her 'ex'. And that is what happened??? And since the borg queen survived for so long without Locutus. She learnt how to look after the collective. Is this making any sense?

I like to think that the borg queen is like a Torrent Tracker. She directs the drones to each other and orders their communications. I think she also has some control because she can decide what is transferred by promoting ideas. This is similiar to torrents because if a tracker doesn't have a torrent, then you just aren't getting the data.

I don't know if any of you like Red Vs Blue. But i would just like to inform you that the 4th season is starting now. i was wondering if anyone else knows about this and/or watches it?

I think the Doctor is the best because he has the most character development. Starting from being a simple EMH to becoming a member of the crew. He is also rather amusing.

I would like it if they tied together more between series'. Like somehow linking Voy with Ds9. But obviously they can't do that. Either that or something way in the future. When the Romulans are friends or something like that.

I think Star Trek is the best Sci-fI TV series. Star wars are pretty good movies. I'm not really into any of the other Sci-Fi tv shows.

So, that line of ships was totally nameless until the Defiant made Starfleet think, "Oh, why don't we give this strangely unnamed line of ships the name of this one member of that line?" ^^'

 

... it was probably a simultaneous thing. Was the Defiant supposed to be the first of the Defiant line or something? heh... that's probably a question only 1) the writers, and 2) uber-Trek fans would know ^^'

i did have Google Talk. But i didn't see much point in it. None of my friends use it, and the only one who did, their microphone was rubbish. Also it uninstalls Gmail Notifier. But luckily i have the gmail extension for mozilla. So i don't need to keep checking my email.

this has probably been said before. Do divx 6.0 files play in 5.x divx players? or will i have to wait till they bring out a new divx dvd player?

how about the Q continuum? is that an empire?
