  1. There are so many quasi-great science fiction series that died before their time with and without closure... Crusade, Space Above and Beyond, The V Series (though some say it should never have been made), ENTERPRISE (of course). Odyssey 5 is definitely a prime example though, since there isn't the semblance of any sort of ending with it's final episode, at least from what I've heard.
  2. To me the two television miniseries far outshone the 1984 film version in many ways (script, acting, pacing, special effects etc) I still have a warm place in my heart for the 80's release. While I consider Brian Herbert to be a bit of a literary whore, I do hope he intends to create film adaptations of his prequel novels, they'd be much better than the nonsense science fiction that's currently available in theatres and on TV.
  3. I dont know what sort of setup you're running, but Jedi Academy ran pretty great on my system with a 3 year old video card (Geforce 4 Ti 4200) as did Battlefront. I enjoyed Battlefront a great deal, though again, compared to Battlefield Vietnam and such, it's missing a little something. I expect Battlefront 2 will improve upon the original vastly, particularly since it includes space-based combat as well.
  4. I felt like they had kicked me in the private parts with the rather ludicrous tie-in to attract old tng trekkers, so I voted for the appropriate retaliatory response. After a reasonably good final season, they ended with... that. I'm terribly disappointed, however, kicking those two in the nuts would make me smile.
  5. I've been fired 3 or 4 times, for attendance related reasons, mostly at call centres (inbound/outbound, tech support, collections and sales in that order). The sales incident was within a week of hiring, due to my complete lack of sales 'drive'. Not surprisingly, I now work in a call centre, doing customer care/tech support, huzzah. I've lasted 4 months so far *crosses fingers*
  6. Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Huzzah
  7. That's crazy news, though i'd be super-pleased to see JMS at the helm of Star Trek. He knows the value of established writers who dont have the name 'Berman', and his own talents are undeniable... case in point, Babylon 5 season 3... that's all his writing ladies and gents. I'm still dead-set against the cancellation of Enterprise though. It's the scripted series on TV that isn't CSI.
  8. I can't pick one of those, seems a bit lopsided to me. Babylon 5 is for me, the cream of the crop. The Dune and Children of Dune Miniseries are great epics. Sliders - the best alternate universe themed series in my opinion SeaQuest - best underwater themed sci fi show Space Above and Beyond - Best military themed sci fi
